PSN Premium Option Details

Plenty of options and features it would seem. although the most important one being the addition of cross game voice chat, a feature PSN users have been waiting for for nearly 3 years..... and they have to pay for it.

how do you feel about this. should this of been free.

Yes, PSN premium should be paid for considering that xbox live gold charges for similar features.

Hope they reconsider the charging for cross game chat and the netflix stream. Besides that I dont care about the other stuff. I mean it sounds nice but I wouldint pay for the other stuff. I just feel its kinda a cheap thing to charge for cross game chat a feature everyone has been asking for and wants fromt he start. I mean dam its jsut 1 feature they couldint let that slide.

A lot of these options are really nice, but I'm hoping they either give us the choice of a "Pick and Choose" bundle or just letting us have all those features for a higher price. I don't want to be forced to only pick one option package and give up some of the other nice features.

I'll pass, it's moments like these that make me glad I'm not into online multiplayer at all.

If this costs £30 to £45 then brilliant as a warranty for your PS3 can cost that much, very helpful for my 60gb model, stuff like the challenges against your friends sounds great

If it should be free, then XBL Cross game chat should be free too.

Lets all bash Sony for giving paid options for PSN stuff, but lets all praise MS for charging us.

Why pay for cross game chat on psn? Most people on this forum even admit that psn is mostly mute so you paying for cross game chat for the majority of people who dont have mics. This right here is a smart move by sony now lets see how the fanboys will spin this into something positive

Cross game char is supposed to be for friends only so for people without any friends on PSN its useless xD.

MS should take not and take a similar aproach, free online gaming, charge for special features, instead of just ripping everyone off.

Some of those features are looking really good. I already pay for Xbox Live I don't see any reason not to pay for these features, they seem awesome.

Thank you Microsoft and your legion of lemmings; for taking the first step that will destroy gaming. After all the companies make you pay for online features what's stopping them from making you pay for a subscription based service? Nothing. I like when companies don't have their hand in your pocket, yet lemmings jump at opening theirs, all in the name of hating everything Sony or Nintendo.

I am sorry but this is kind of funny. Now PS3 users have to pay for cross game chat and Netflix? I won't pay for an inferior service so it's a no go for me but wow, all that talk about paying for Xbox Live and now this. I am willing to bet the real PS3 fanatics will defend this somehow and still bash Microsoft.

Sweet! 3-year extended warranty, Hulu and netflix built into xmb (saves me $70 a month from comcast) free PS0ne games, Save data back up to servers! That alone is worth it.

I hope this is not what the options will be like, especially if i am going to pay $70, i want all the benefits, not just some.
