I have to admit that when I first got my PSP there was really nothing worth it out... I beat GTA Liberty City Stories in a week and burnout was fun, but it took way to long to load multiplayer battles... I ended up just using it for little video's and that was it...

Now after about a year of it sitting there doing NOTHING... I picked up a few games that are starting to come out including: final Fantasy 1, final fantasy Tactics, Ratchet and Clanks Size Matters. While those games are Remakes(not including Ratchet), and One "flop" (as far as most kids on this week site are conserned) there really showing that there may be something still there in the PSP....

I just picked up Final Fantasy Tactics Yesterday because it looked good and I missed the original, but All these Final Fantasy Remakes coming out its showing that Square may really be starting to see somthing that few others see in the PSP...::cough cough:: Crisis Core:: Cough cough::

I'm not saying that its the best thing in the world, but If it keeps getting good games it may be sneak up on the DS (Which I feel has even less games then the PSP, but I'm saying it'll sneak up on the DS because according to kids on this web site the DS is the best handheld ever)

PSP has gotten a huge amount of great games lately. I've been too busy playing all the PS3 games coming out lately. I bought Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Eye of Judgment, and Rainbow 6:Vegas. And haven't been able to afford any for PSP.

No one has ever challenged Nintendo for the handheld market and has been as successful as the PSP has. the great games right now are really boosting it, especially in Japan recently.

I like how people try and twist things so that it makes it look like the PSP is now "dominant" in Japan. The PSP is getting a boost in sales because of the new design and the Crisis Core release, but in case you haven't noticed the DS is back on top of the sales charts already, and will get an even bigger boost when FFTA2 comes out in a few weeks... not to mention the DQIV remake and *gasp* DQIX next year.

In comparison to the DS Lite when it came out in Japan, the PSP Slim's success is very small.

The DS is the best handheld ever...

In comparison, the DS has just about every big handheld RPG in the works. DQIX? FFIV remake? FFTA2? FFXII:RW? FFCC: The Ring of Fates? It's a Wonderful World? Do I really need to go on? I'll take those over the PSP's five million remakes, ports, and occassional one good game.

REVOLUTIONfreak

To bad the DS is going to make them all horrible... Look at Burnout Legends... PSP=AAA... DS= HORRIBLE

those games could be much better on the PSP... But We can wait tell they all come out and Flop because of the poor Gimmick that there coming out on and then We will see how Crisis Core PWNZ All on the PSP...

Where did he say the PSP was dominating the DS? He said no other hand-held has done as well as the PSP when it comes to Nintendo's hand-helds. I think somone needs to lighten up a little bit.

I'm wondering why the crap Crisis Core still isn't out even though it was anounced back in like 2005 or 2004.

Really right now the Only PSP game I'm looking forward to that has a release date it Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops +. The ones without dates that I can think of are Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core(Even though I know it's going to further crap up the story line), that Final Fantasy fighting game and thats it.

As for the DS, it's been a huge disapoitment. How is a console suppose to be inovative when 90% games don't use the touch screen for touching. And the remaining 10% uses it poorly. The only reason Im buying the damn piece of junk again is so I can play the Kingdom Hearts game thats coming out on it.

This has been the worst generation for handhelds IMO.

In case you don't realize, Square-Enix's games on the DS have sold very well. They have at least two million sellers on the handheld by now, and are guaranteed to get probably a total of... hmm... four or five more? The four DQ games are bound to be million sellers, with DQIX obviously being a multi-million seller most likely, and FFIX will probably sell over a million.

Japan loves FF and DQ, whichis good for Square-Enix.

I have two Nintendo DS units (1 the old big one and one DS lite) and a PSP. I used to use the DS much more, but I can honestly say I use PSP more now. At first all the PSP games were basically crappy versions of their PS2 counterparts, but that isn't the case anymore. There are a ton of good PSP games.

or, the ds is alot cheaper and every kid under the age of 12 owns one. personally FFT, dead head fred, Silent Hill origins, Monster hunter freedom 2, and the castlevania package that includes the original Sotn should keep me busy until Gow comes out. oh and Crisis core on the psp :), and hopefully theyll still release oblivion travels. i like to play my psp for more then 15 minutes, and most ds games like mario kart(which i own) get old fast. psp= more depth.

oh and it pisses me off that the ds lite REALLY cramps my hands after 15 minutes( its like saying Brendan, you shouldnt play me for longer then 15 minutes, im not made for this!)

the thing is with Final Fantasy, God of War, and Gran Turismo coming out on the PSP none of them (maybe GOW) will hit 1 million sales.

No devs want to make Dragon Quest 9, Dementium: The Ward, Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell Conviction, Tom Clancy's EndWar, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Rings of Fate, Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword, Drawn to Life, Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations for the PSP.

See, alot of DS games that are all third party that aren't coming out on the PSP. Keep your one FF game and your City Stories.

I'll take DQ 9 and Phantom Hourglass everyday over anything on the PSP.

I'd like to add that no one company with profits in mind will make a great variety of products that they know will be stolen, if you catch my drift,

The PSP is, and always will be undone by its own userbase.

I purchased a PSP a few days back and I like it alot.. I have nothing against the DS, but I just prefer the selection of games that PSP has to offer not to mention the funcationality it has other then games. UMD movies are a rip unfortantly they are so not worth the full price inless your a college student living in a dorm with no tv.. Other then that its just not worth it.. Though this changes when you start seeing UMD movies selling for as low as $7.. Cheaper then a old style VHS tape..

At this time I currently own Daxter and Castelvania X game.. Havn't played Daxter much but having a blast with castlevania.. My next purchases will be (in no particular order) Final Fantasy Tactics, Marvel Ultimate Alliance (I just can't get enough of this game), and Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX.. These games alone will keep me busy for a long time.. And then there are still dozens more great games.. Another promising aspect is the possibility of a PS1 shop where PS1 games could be played on the PSP (legally).. Having the ability to play games such as Final Fantasy 7 in the hand held would be phenomonal.

PSP is a decent handheld to be sure, but I perfer the DS so much more. Since there is no Advance Wars, Elite Beat Agents, Phoenix Wright, or Mario Kart on the PSP, the DS is the winner to me.

Getting a psp in about a month

While the DS is good the psp seems a bit more deserving,

touch screen and nintendo games vs playstation games, superior graphics and multimedia abilities

Nintendo were wise to make the DS so casual friendly
