I like PSP more.

congradulations. i think that the PSP in its own right is a decent handheld system with some worthwhile games, but it pales in comparison to the DS librarydarkspineslayer
^ Yep. The only reason I think that anyone should get the PSP over a DS is if you don't have a MP3 player. Or if your an action game freak.
I love them both however I would say that my DSi edges out my psp by just a sliver in its features/ games.
Though Ds has a bigger game library it does not have internet,online,no headsets,worse games,and most of them are to much for little kids with no expeirence in games at all.
No online or headsets? Sure, we'll pretend that.Though Ds has a bigger game library it does not have internet,online,no headsets,worse games,and most of them are to much for little kids with no expeirence in games at all.

Yeah but the DS's best games are cartoon people and the new gta chinatown wars was terrible,and the PSP had the better controls.

1. no they arent
2. then why did it get universally excellent reviews?
3. thats your opinion, I think that the DS controls better but since it is strictly opinionIm not going to bring it into this debate.
Being able to play ps1 games makes it great for rpgs.. than there are tons of great games on it mature based gaems like Silent hill origins, Killzone lib, Resistance Retribution, Syphon Filter Dark Mirror, Syphon Filter Logans shadow, PAtapon 1 and 2, Final Fantasy 1, 2, FF Tactics:Wol (the real tactics with mature story not watered down kid wizard of oz crap) , FF7, FF7: Crisis Core, FF: Dissida, FF13: Agito, Parasite Eve: 3rd birthday, Kingdom Hearts Birth buy sleep, BlazBue(remote Play), all Pixel Junk (remote play) GTA LCS, GTA VCS, GTA : Chinatown wars, Castelvania Dracula x, MEga MAn Powered up, Metal Gear Acid 1 and 2, MGS:PO and +, Class of Heoroes, Legend of Heoros 1,2and 3, Crimson Gem Saga, Disgaea 1, Disgaea 2, Soul Calibur, Motorstorm, LBP, Luminies, Dungeon Maker 1 and 2, Dungeon Explorer, Dungeon Siege, Tekken 5, Tekken 6, Dante's Inferno, Burnout Legneds, Burnout Dominator, Jeanne Darc, Twisted MEtal , Silent hill resort, Daxter, Jak and Daxter 4, Valkeria Profile leneth, Prinny, Yggra Union, Beats, Rock band unplugged, Holy Invasion of Privacy Badman what did I do to deserve this!, Street fighter alpha max 3, Wipeout pure and pulse, The list goes on and on of great games from every genre... and almost zero kids games..
that is the thing do you want a portable that provides a console experience in your pocket, or one for a few console like games but the rest mini games wii-ware kiddie crap? I perfer the first, and Get sick of hearing people say they don't want console games on their portbable...well guess what some of us love the fact that psp plays games that are just as epic or even more so then the ps2.... Sure I own a DS and like the rpgs, civ, age of Empires MYth, and Castlevania, but other than the rpgs (especially atlus rpgs) the ds library is smaller, it's filled with more crap just like the wii. It has way worse functionality, and way old tech.

Yeah, but on the psp you don't have to know people with the ds and the game to play online, you can't even play online with the ds without another persons friend code...what type of crap is that? I am 30 and don't know anyone with a ds besides my wife (and she only has brain age and jewel quest), and my nephews (which also both have a psp too and play it way more, the one is obsessed with starwars renegade), Seriously I could never play ds online due to Nintendo trying to be parenets instead of allowing you know parents to be parents by watching their kids, so no online ds for me...stupid nintendo with their stupid friend codes.Hey man I think your awesome because I like people who stand up for what they like and thats exactly what you did thats cool of you track me.

in that case, i might get lol, more Wii games need to support this, ESPECIALLY SSBB, friend codes are way to long.[QUOTE="dragonfly110"][QUOTE="Midnightshade29"] Yeah, but on the psp you don't have to know people with the ds and the game to play online, you can't even play online with the ds without another persons friend code...what type of crap is that? if your just looking to play online (ie in platinum I exclusivly play in the public zones) Friend codes are not required at all.
PSP=online community.
DS=more fun solo games.
PSP wins more replay value.

Yay more old games. Did you know the DS had new RPGs?
They're both pretty good. DS is vastly overrated. It has a lot of JRPGs but they're not particularly impressive, just numerous.
Its really comes down to the tastes of each gamer in the end. Personally, I prefer the DS because I like games like Final Fantasy IV, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, Advance Wars: Days of Ruin, Legacy of Y's, new Super Mario Brothers, the three DS Castlevania games, the Ace Attorney Series, Dragonquest IV and V, Sonic Rush Adventure, and Rune Factory over anything the PSP has to offer.
Just because I think Final Fantasy IV is better than VII doesn't mean my tastes should influnce what another gamer enjoys. Neither handheld is superior to the other because they go after different markets. DS is targeted towards everyone, hence its more varied library. The PSP on the other hand is trying to become a portable PS2 that can recreate the console game experince in the palm of your hand while offering multimedia features in one package.
Neither handheld is superior to the other in the end because as both Nintendo and Sony themselves have said, they are targeted towards different markets..
Yeah I agree DS a lot of games but all quanity no quality
theresistance34
No quality???
So Final Fantasy IV, Dragonquest IV and V, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, Advance Wars: Days of Ruin, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow,Portraitof Ruin, Order of Ecclesia, Sonic Rush, GTA: China Town Wars, The Ace Attorney games, New Super Mario Brothers, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor, Mario Kart DS, The World Ends with You, and Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword don't exist in your world as quality games?
These games may not appeal to you, but they aren't bad titles.
