PSP Slim = WOW!

i just got my hands on the new PSP2000, and i have to honestly admit, the new (small) changes and tweaks justifies the word "Redesign"

i mean the new size and the feel of the thing in my hands (ewww) is really awesome... the weight really makes a difference, and the flat back is something Sony should've included in the first design (aah who am i kidding it's sony for crying out loud :P).

the biggest complaint i had about the Phat PSP was the D-pad... the friggin think is broken and diagonals are impossible to pull, which made awesome PSP games like TEKKEN and Pro Evolution Soccor play like... meh! but with the tweaked D-pad... well you get the idea :P i can control the games like how they were meant to be controlled ;) (again Sony what were u thinking?)

of course i've yet to put the new PSP's biggest feature to use, playing games and movies on TVs, but the stupid store didn't have the cables... but from what i've heard it's also great and a much welcomed feature...

haven't tried putting old batteries in to check the doubled up battery life, and haven't done heavy testing with the UMD caching so i can't give any feedback on that...

and chargin via USB? yeah i know who cares lol...

anyways i guess what i'm trying to say here is that this dude is a PSP2000 hater no more, and yeah the redesign rocks... games play & control much better, cuz to me sony... all it comes down to is games games games... ;)

nice, i ended up getting the daxter pack version. btw old batteries will not fit. since its bulker then the new version.ghoulsandghost

yeah i know that it doesn't fit, but it works, you just have to use the slim without the battery cover ;) but yeah who would do that lol

btw i picked a white core (literally stripped) JP version 8) white-glossy-flat-PSP-back FTW!! *mental images of sexyback*

The PSP is awesome. Very underated imo. I picked up the Daxter/Family Guy pack last week with Killzone liberation. Now I need to get Crazy Taxi and MGS:PO.RedMarzBoy

awww man ur soooooo lucky! you get to experience the awesomeness that is Portable Ops for the first time on ur TV (those cool cutscenes are to DIE for) :D

anyways i've heard somewhere that after breaking up the 3.60FW they discovered that UMD caching feature only works for a predetermined set of games, think like backward compatibility for the 360 & PS3, and that the list gets updated with every system update to include more games (i think the main focus for now are new hit games and old games that had terrible loading times)

which make prompts me to ask: which game did you try caching?

The Japanese seem to love it. 250,000 units sold in three days not counting Crisis Core bundles. CC Bundles sold around 75,000 units.

hmmm but what if you want to control a game using the analog? can't press face buttons and use the nub the same time.

Monster hunter freedom 2 has to be the greatest handheld game of all time, it's seriously amazing, can't believe GS gave it a 5.0.

plus there are plenty of other games that are fun to just pick up and play (katamari, luminess, every extended extra.) The only reason why my dss hasn't been collecting dust is because my girlfriend likes tetris My_Name_Is_Sin

but if you read the review you'll realize that poor reviewer only two hours into the game when he reviewed the game, and he hated the first, so i was pretty much something lower than the first games rating :P

that does not change the fact the MHF2 is AWESOME
