You returned to the old avatar. It's mega cool.A DS, unless he was being an ass and I wanted to play a cruel joke, Id say a PSP.

Yeah, because we play graphics right, when uncharted 2 do something new instead of looking good then we talk.
It depends on if he wants a cheap media device, or a GAMING handheld.Your friend just won the 250 bucks in the lotto. He want a handheld....what should he get?
Coolyfett
If he places emphasis on the latter, then the DS is for him undoubtebly.

I'm just tired of seeing these thread everyday.

What is this rubbish you speak about troll? In the first 20 pages there are no PSP/DS topics..everythin on SW is Wii/PS3/360 fighting. If you are tired, maybe you should stop coming here troll.
Is this Scribblenauts the answer to Little Big Planet?? Are they the same type of game?CoolyfettNo. Scribblenauts is a puzzler, LBP a platformer.

Scribblenauts is a puzzle type game where you are given a situation (say get a star out of a tree) and you are required to complete that task using any object you can think of. You type something into the game and it will appear. The amount of stuff you can create is nigh on limitless; basically, if you can think of it, you can summon it.[QUOTE="Coolyfett"]Is this Scribblenauts the answer to Little Big Planet?? oh ok cool. I see a lot of nods toward the DS....interesting. These are all coming from male gamers?

If he just wants games, maybe the DS. Depends what kind of games they like. The PSP is the least appreciated system in these forums along with the Wii though.Floppy_Jim
That is very interesting. The Wii is the number 1 seller in the world, yet the PS3 & 360 get the attention on here, but those same gamers choose the DS over the PSP? That is very weird. I don't ever see men walking the streets with a DS, when I am on the train you mostly see women with a DS. I am actually glad women are into handheld gaming now. Why does PSP haters say the PSP has no games, when there are plenty of games on the system? Are they in denial?
No, not even close.yea, scribblenauts is likely to be the most epic portable game this world has ever seen.

Everytime you see somebody saying that X system has no games is probably because he's a fanboy.
The PSP has a good library. The main complaint about it it's that it's not as good as the DS's, but it's still really good in its own right.
And it owns every other system in SRPG's.

It's because a lot of the Wii's demographic aren't the type to post on System Wars regularly. And I don't know why people claim systems have no games, that's ignorance for you. There's a ton of great games coming to the PSP soon, I'd even say moreso than the PS3 & 360.I give reasons for games that are more mature in scope for psp: Resistance Retrobution, crimson Gem saga, Legend of heroes 1,2,3 , Star ocean 1 and 2, Silent hill orgiins and shattered memories, Metal gear acid 1 and 2, Metal gear portable , portable ops+ , Metal Gear Solid , MG Peace Walker Grand turismo Portable, phantasy Star Portable, monster hunter freedom 1,2, and unite, dungeon maker 1 and 2 dungeon siege throne of agony dungeon and dragons tactics dungeon explorer Disgaea 1 (full game but has more then the ps2 ver and online play) Disgaea 2 (full game but has more then the ps2 ver and online play) Persona 1 remake Persona 3 portable Final Fantasy 1, 2, 7, Crisis core, dissidia, Tactics the war of the lions, FF13: agito Parasite Eve 3rd birthday kingdom hearts birth by sleep Gta liberty city stories, Gta Vice city stories, gta china town wars Syphon filter, 1,2,3, Dark Mirror, Logan's Shadow killzone Liberation Lumines 1 and 2 Beatorator Soul Calibur 4 with Kratos God of war chains of Olympus Locoroco 1 and 2 Patapon 1 and 2 Super stardust portable Dantes' Inferno Assassins Creed Bloodlines (looks and plays like the console version!!!) Socom, ftb 1,2,3 and tactics littler big planet Motorstorm arctic edge Valkyria chronicles 2 Daxter Jack 4 Rock Band unplugged Tekken 5 dark resurection (looks better than the ps2 vers) Castlevania dracula x (rondo remake in 2.5d) - Rondo of Blood -Symphony of the night Castlevania Chronicles Resident Evil 1, 2, 3, and a new RE psp original in the works Tomb Raider 1,2, Legends, anniversary, underworld Wipeout 1, pure , pulse Brave story new traveller Class of heroes Burnout Legends, dominator Coded Arms, 1 and 2 Brothers in arms D -day Ysiggra Union Wild Arms 1,2, xf Jeanne D' Arc Star wars Battlefront 2, rouge squadron, rebel squadron, force unleashed Puzzle Quest, Prinny Fat Princess Tekken 6 half minute hero r-type strat game Blazblue Guilty gear street fighter alpha 1, 2, 3 mortal kombat unchained pursuit force 1 and 2 Twisted metal 1,2,3 and head on Duke Nukem Trilogy Mega Man Mavrick hunter, legends , powered up Suikoden 1 and 2 Y's 1,2 and 4 Thats only some of the psp games...notice the playstation heritage in the tiltes. If you like playstation games and rpgs from Square Enix you will love your psp, the SE titles on the DS are not cannon but retooled kid versions of games for the younger demographic (ff3 ff4 withstanding) For the ds, these are the games with the same mature styles that I know of at least: Castlevania portrait of ruin, Dawn of Sorrow and order of Echellies(sp) ...these games are great but do not beat SOTN Zelda phantom hourglass Orcs and Elves Final Fantasy 3 and 4 (remakes , teh crystal chronciles and a2 is more kid centric) Professor layton (so I heard is very good, and made by level 5 which are great devs) Knights of the Knightmere -- awesome unique rpg with shmup elements. very fun game by atlus of course Eterian Odyssey 1 and 2 -unique wizardry like games with draw your own maps The dark Spire - perhaps my favorite ds game... old school wizardry like game with so much depth it rivals the early pc games and it has a classic wireframe veiw for the retro geek in all of us...lol Age of Empires 2, and mythology - - you can't go wrong with the best rts series made into a turn based games Civilization revolutions - great civ game but can be very easy (ai is crap , which sucks imo) Dragon Quest 4,5 Mazes of Fate Suikoden Teirikes Chrono Trigger Contra Ys 1 and 2 Disgaea DS (less content and much lower res than psp ver. psp ver looks better than ps2 ver.) The ds games are very good, granted you don't get the higher res widescreen graphics with analog control (gfx rival the ps2 on psp while ds is slightly under the n64) There are a few good games I didn't mention as I can't think of them off hand on the ds, but the majority of ds games are shovelware and kid games... where psp games is 97% aimed at the hardcore 15-35 crowd..) Personally get both if you can.. there are excellent games on both. Sheep will bash the psp and say it has nothing thouhg, just so you know. But if you can only get 1 get the psp.. better more in depht games, ds is more like a gameboy with more shovelware, but some really great hidden gems. Psp is better for non gaming stuff too... photo, music, internet, video, ps3 remote play (you can play some full ps3 games on psp and access the system from over the internet).PSP Go!

They are mostly usualy younger gamers and like cartoon charcters as opposed to the more mature titles on PSP... They would rather have a gameboy like portable than a portable that rivals a console... it doesn't make sense to me, but they are what they are... It gets me mad when the ds lovers bash psp saying no games, which i can proove is dead wrong. If you like playstation games. . the psp is the way to go, it has ps2 quality graphics in widescreen and plays the types of games that were on both ps1 and ps2 (and can play ps1 games natively)You left out a lot of great games on psp...plus there is so many good titles coming out. like disgaea 2, persona 1 and 3 , valkyria chronicles 2, soul claibur 4, dantes inferno, gta chinatown wars, Littler big planet, Locoroco midnight, Assassins Creed: Bloodlines, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, Resident Evil PSP(new game) , Parasite eve 3rd birthday, Final Fantasy: dissidia, Fianl Fantasy 13: Agito, Kingdom hearts birth by sleep, Metal Gear Peace walker (you also left out portable ops which is fantastic) , Socom 3, Jak 4..etc... most of these games are coming out in 2009 early 2010.. PSP is a great handheld with superior graphics, processor a dedicated gpu and better sound... With a mature playstation centric library. also it plays ps1 titles perfectly. Any ps1 game you get on psn you can play on psp. you can play blazeblue the full retail ps3/360 game on the psp with the same visuals... And calling me a fanboy because I listed games... I listed them for both handhelds by the way... and said to get both..but Said I preferred the psp due to the more playstation style titles... if you are into cutsie nintendo charcters (i grew out of those back in the late 80's btw..) then the ds is right for you. But there are killer games on both. There is just a lot of shovelware on the ds and no one can deny that. I only listed games on the ds that I own or that I think would apeal to a older more playstation game style, I listed no cutsie cartoon chracter games as they don't appeal to me I like both, but prefer the psp...calling me a fanboy because I like the psp games more is not right dude.. Don't you like playstation games? I get tired of hearing ds fans bash the psp saying it has no games.... its totally wrong! PSP is a phenomenal handheld, and its about time a more adult centric handheld was brought to market... otherwise nintendo would of released gameboy increment #12 instead of the ds. Midnightshade29
There is no argument that the DS's library is FAR more superior to the PSPs...
As for games coming out, The DS has a bunch: Scrriblenauts, Pokemon Heart Gold/Soul Silver, Mario and Luigi Inside Story, LoZ: Spirit Tracks ect.
I would buy a PSP, I sold my phat ds because even though it has a lot of good games when I got my psp I stopped playing the ds on business trips or long waits... I guess psp games suit me better, the main reason I was planning on getting a ds lite or dsi waS chinatown wars but its coming to psp so I say a PSP 3000 fr sure!
