I have both, and while there are some games I have for the PSP that I LOVE (Megaman Powered Up, LocoRoco, Patapon), I love the DS much more.
i own both,. but i like ds alot more because of the games selection is broader, , not the same games we see on consoles,
all psp has is console games , with the exception of gow resistance retribution and driver 76 ,,
theres nothing worth mentioning thats not on ps2 or current gen consoles
Psp for me. The DS was great and all but I'm in to more hardcore games which the psp just so happens to deliver. I can't think of too many hardcore DS games off the top of my head.
I can't think of many PSP games in general off the top of my head... :PPsp for me. The DS was great and all but I'm in to more hardcore games which the psp just so happens to deliver. I can't think of too many hardcore DS games off the top of my head.

I say DS. It's an innovation magnet.
Well guess where i stand,...
Anyway, PSP has some good games coming for it, still a lot of ports but good stuff but other than the ppl in JP still buying it i fear its too little too late
i think the PSP Go is a huge mistake, the platform is practically dead to consumers in North America anyway as is, raising the price and taking away buying games at stores and not fixing the piracy problem will solve nothing.
DS has a superior library critically, metacritic says 240 some odd good DS titles to PSP's 190 or 200. PSP has been beaten down by DS in terms of quantity of great software since 2007, for instance in 2008 DS has 47 A, AA, AAA games on Gamespot and PSP had 18, and in 2009 DS is winning that battle 16 to 5.
Look at the sales,
PSP has moved just over 1 million units in 2009, and DS has moved nearly 4 million. only going up to May 31st guys.
PSP is selling at a 100k-200k rate every month, barely outpacing the PS2 honestly. Japanese devs should jump on it, as it sells better in japan than NA but north american devs have got to ask themselves, if you're name isn't Grand Theft Auto or something like Metal Gear SOlid, why make a new IP or less popular game for a north american audience on the PSP? honestly?
i'm looking forward to the Go driving down 2000's price so i can pick up a used PSP 2000 in 2010 to play Peace Walker and Loco Roco 2 as i've missed those since i sold my PSP to get my PS3 (towards it that is. can't say i regret it)
And this fall DS will totally cream PSP in quality of software, its no contest
I mean Dissdia, GT, LBP, another Socom, and Motorstorm, and what, Assassins Creed versus,... Mario & Luigi 3. Scribblenauts, Layton 2, Spirit Tracks, Sands of Destruction, Dragon Quest 6, Dragon Quest 9
I mean seriously DS is getting sequels to 5 games that last scored AAA on gamespot guys, sequels that are looking to be very good too. there's no way PSP will have nearly as many quality titles as DS this fall, i'm sorry.
that doesn't mean you won't take those fewer PSP quality titles over the DS quality titles, its all about tastes fellas.. i know some ppl here who would take Dissdia or LBP PSP over any DS title this year. And i hope they enjoy those games, as i will be enjoyingthe ones i'm playing on my 360, dsi, wii, ps3, ps2. oh god, i'm going to be broke this year!
Since I have both (bought a PSP slim recently) , I have to say the DS is better. Don't get me wrong I really like the PSP, but the DS just has a better library of games.
Plus, it's a proven fact that PSP enthusiasts are less intelligent because their system doesn't have cognizance-enhancing games like Brain Age, Math Tutor, and Professor Layton.
And that's just really sad.
I have not seen a surge of "DS vs PSP" threadslike this since 2005.

the war has been won, and i suppose people are reflecting now.
and announcing an overpriced $250 stripped down model of a console that everywhere but japan doesn't care about will cause a spike in discussions about said platform
PSP seems to be gaining a certain good rep from gamers ala Dreamcast, GameCube for deliver what it did, even though it finished last in sales.
You see those people realising after the console wars are over that the loser delivered some stellar stuff too
I own both, but since I'm not much of a handheld type gamer, I like the PSP's console quality games, I love the DS for its Pheonix Wright/Prof Layton type games too, but its a different kind of love. 110million:cry: You lie! I know your secrets! You're a Game Gear lover at heart and you despise the handhelds on the market right now! ... It's ok... I am too... :) /boldfacelie
lol... wow. I don't own my own PSP, but i will be buying the PSP Go. I do own the DS Lite. I own 5 games on it My Chinese Coach, Super Mario 64, New Super Mario Bros, World Ends With You, Final Fantasy 4. However if Sony is able to get most of their existing PSP UMD games to their Playstation Network, i'll be a very happy gamer. I'm really happy to see the PSP finally have a stronger push in software. Metal Gear : Peace Walker, Gran Turismo, and hopefully if they put God of War, and Resistance on the PSN. I really like the new design of the PSP. It's stupid, but it's important that it fits in my pocket, it's a handheld portable device, i ought to be able to do at least that. So for now i'd have to say DS, but i'm keeping both of them. I like Mario, but i also really like Big Boss and Kratos.Plus, it's a proven fact that PSP enthusiasts are less intelligent because their system doesn't have cognizance-enhancing games like Brain Age, Math Tutor, and Professor Layton.
And that's just really sad.
