Okay, I bought my PSVR on the 14th, it launched on the 13th, I was a day late, but Lord have mercy I wasn't a dollar short, cause this MFer is PRICEY. Right out of the gate the headset with NOTHING else is 400$+ tax. Then, you hopefully have a PS4 and a PS4 controller(standard). Next, you are gonna need that camera(yes the new old stock PS peripheral that is about the age of a 2016 graduate's MD tenure). Wanna really get psyched? 2 PS motion controllers(remember when you used to own those? Of course you don't). What does this come up to? Well if you got the 'launch bundle' in time, it was 499$. If you had to buy it separately? About 560$. Welcome to capitalism, in case you had not made it yet.
So, I buy my PSVR, and yes it did kinda felt like Sony was making me gag on a big long, plastic, hairy peripheral of some sort(at both ends), but hey let's keep it clean, as I FINALLY got the balls to stick my credit card in that chip thing for 10 minutes straight. BAM! I own a PSVR, now to get out of the store, and home without getting jacked, close the curtains!
Getting this thing out of the box is easy, how they got it in the box is some kinda Illuminati magic trick, seriously, this thing is meticulously stuffed. Got it all out, started kinda feeling like I was gonna help Darth Vader get dressed, or something. This thing is A LOT, I mean, a BUTT TON of cables and peripherals.
Here it is in it's true unflattering, needy glory, the PSVR! \/\/\/

In case you like exact details... the completed page of the manual. /\/\/\
DO notice, the manual does not show a wall plug for your PS4 or your TV. AGHH, what's a couple more cables at this point?
So, is it time to play? No, get ready to figure out how to fit this thingamajig not just 'onto' your head, but onto your head so that it feels 'natural'. Give yourself a good 10-20 minutes before you lose your temper. It does fit fine, I did not find it uncomfortable once I mastered the slightly intuitve locking system of the headset.
Now let's turn it on, the camera has to see your head, the camera tracks your head's movements. I recommend a old camera tripod stand or something, you want this thing close, and dead center of your head. It is ALMOST TIME!!! How do I turn it on, oh man, you cannont do ANYTHING with this thing on, I can't even get to the light switch, agh. Take the ehad set off(you'll get used to the function of it). OK so turn it on, get it back on..... and...
OMG!!! This is weird, what? what? OMG!!! I am in a full environment, the only thing missing is my hands. Behind me, the ceiling , the floor, it is all white, and looks like some sorta PS lobby. Congrats you made it into virtual reality!!! (More real soon)
