Sad news that Sony is wasting money on these events when they should be focusing on game development.
So Sony has now 4 major presences where they announce games while MS only E3 (CGI gallore) lol.
Sony is killing it right now and the most brutal thing is that we still dont know what all of their developers are doing, insane.

What the hell was so noteworthy about PlayStation Experience anyway? That they showed Uncharted 4? It was bound to happen eventually, it was expected. And then what?

Are you kidding me? didnt you see how many games sony announced last night? .. you know what never mind this is SW i almost forgot, carry on..
on topic: amazing news! i was hoping they'd do this every year, they simply rocked it last night and i cannot wait to all the games they showed and announced!
I like the idea of it. I saw Yakuza 5 being announced for the west, which is cool.
But the whole "we love you. we the playstation nation. we the playstation family" nonsense is just so overdone.

And what did they announce that was really noteworthy? Straight lo-res PC port of FFVII that angered everybody rather than interested anybody? Street Fighter V coming that it's coming to PC? Please.
So Nintendo has Nintendo Direct.
PlayStation has PlayStation Experience.
Microsoft should bring back X, I used to love those.
When you have the best combination of 1st and 3rd party games it makes sense that you need more events to show of all the games. It's crazy when you think about all the games that are coming yet most of Sonys studios haven't even announced their games yet. #sdc

I can say that about any xbox game,on any show they are bound to be shown eventually..
So salty you people are lately..hahaha
SF5 been console exclusive and never hitting XBO worse for MS it has cross platform online play something xbox live totally lack and something PSN pushed since last gen as well.
Lets wait for MS inevitable copy and paste of this and your inevitable change of heart..

Exactly.
The place where lemming can pretend that what happen yesterday was somehow bad for sony.
The fun part is how Salt the fries make another thread and claim the XBO has some highly rated games,3 of those didn't even reach 80% are kinect games which many XBO owners can't even play them, and the other 3 the best one has 86..lol
Apparently this gen 74 % to 86% is highly rated...hahaha
Sony just destroyed the XBO game wise yesterday the xbox one doesn't have games for basically the first half of 2015 or even more you ask them and they evade the question or don't answer at all..hahaha
And we start with Bloodborn and The Order.

Gameplay for Uncharted 4, The Order, Bloodborne, Batman. SFV console exclusive with cross-platform play, Killstrain, Drawn to Death, new God of War announced. Thousands of people getting to play upcoming games.
Meanwhile Xbone fans got a Forza ad. The ones that actually need to show something aren't. The PS4 already has the better looking future yet they keep on showing new stuff. Thank you Sony.
I'm happy about this, more gaming events to watch is always good. I spent 6+ hours watching the event and it was totally crap, but I wasn't doing anything else anyway so it was a fun kind of crap. I mean watching a "sperm" move around a screen for 2 hours with a few dj's that sucked isn't exactly fun (bouncing Brandon was epic though).
So going by the threads the Playstation experience was pretty much a dud then?
It was a huge success.
How so? From what I've read it seemed incredibly lackluster.
Is not what you read is how you interpret it the problem...
They showed games by the ton,and a few exclusives including SF5 which has cross play with PC,that alone should have do the trick hell it was leak a day before the event and damage control here was trough the roof.

I interpret the problem as nothing that I've read about interests me in the slightest. I'll probably get a PS4 eventually but I really have no need to suck them off at every announcement.
The fact that they are getting direct fan feedback on games pre-alpha could turn into a boon for them. To me, that was the biggest news out of the whole thing (Obviously, the game announcements were sweet as well.)
Sony is still making the right moves and leveraging a fan festival to get a real interface with customers is an awfully intuitive step in the right direction. Color me impressed.
I wonder how much of an impact this will have on E3 (considering both Nintendo Direct and Playstation Experience). Maybe we're seeing the end of E3.
Quite the opposite. You'll see E3 shift even more towards being an industrial exposition as it has been in recent years. It's nothing like the fan festival it used to be and as a result, the big gaming companies had a growing distance from their fanbases. There will still be hype and bombshells at E3, but this gives Sony an outlet for the fan service they simply can't get away with at the big shows like E3, Gamescom and TGS. Those shows are being more and more centralized around third party publishers than anything else and the platform holders still have a great use for building those relationships and partnerships at industry shows.
E3 will likely be bigger and better than ever as publishers have a growing share/interest in overall market growth. The X factor are the indies, now. We might see a growing rise in Indie festivals as well since there is significant investment in that sector of gaming, now. All in all, this means good things.
Sad news that Sony is wasting money on these events when they're going to have to start slashing salaries to stay afloat.
FTFY

Looks like Sony is hurting pretty bad.
