PUBG or Fortnite Battle Royale: which is better?

I think PUBG, at its core, is the better game. I believe Fortnite's building mechanics kill the tempo of the firefights.

They both actually suck.

One is overpriced broken mess that happend to be most popular game atm. other is cartoonish loot game.

My nephews are absolutely OBSESSED wirh fortnite. I still haven’t tried it. Sorry i’m not much of a help but i find it fascinating my nephews only want to play this one game

Haven't tried PUBG yet but I'm having a blast with Fortnite.

PUBG's pace and style of gunplay is much more up my alley, though I'm currently pretty burnt out on the game. the ratio of good matches/cool shit happening to long periods of boredom and getting shot out of nowhere isn't great.

Fortnite is far more interesting and has way more potential.

Man the biggest new genres always originate from PC. (and are best played on it).

No dude. Arcades have defined most genres that exist today even.

No disagreement about PC being the best place to play performance wise for most games though.

I like PUBG more but these shooting mechanics are atrocious. LEt alone something is wrong with engine, netcode and some sort of lag making characters feel like you moving a BOAT in the sea. Let alone shooting at someone at times feels so OFF and messy... ITs a mess really.

I said new genres. The most played genres in the world are currently MOBA, MMORPG, FPS, and then PUBG style games. Some of these titles ALONE (on PC) have more players than nearly all of XBL concurrent.

These are all PC creations and still best played on PC.

I've only played PUBG (around 300 hours) and I'm still enjoying it in squad mode with my friends. I never really felt any desire to try out Fortnite - its base building and cartoonish look don't appeal to me. I prefer the more realistic PUBG.

No interest in either.

I havent played either game and I likely never will.

@zaryia: PUBG is sitting at 33 million copies sold on Steam not including all the copies sold on WeGame so there is probably already more people that own PUBG on PC than people that own an Xbox One at all since there are currently 35 million Xbox Ones sold.

they're 2 very different games that appeal too 2 very different players. The only thing they share is the battle roayle genre

Last time I checked only pubg had first person mode, unless that has changed pubg wins by default, 3rd person online shooters are a joke
