Quantum Break Creative Director, Sam Lake: "This is a revolutionary entertainment experience that combines a cinematic action game and a high quality live-action show".
"For us, this project is a dream come true. We've taken everything we've learned about interactive storytelling from Alan Wake and stylised cinematic action from Max Payne. We've raised the bar much higher and brought these elements together into one game, creating the ultimate Remedy experience." Sorss
Yeah bullshit. Just admit David Cage and Naughty Dogs have inspired you to raise your standards.
Besides your mind, where did this come from? They are taking gameplay akin to Max Payne and the storytelling akin to Alan Wake and combining them in order to achieve the experience they are building for Quantum Break.
How does Naughty Dogs factor into this at all?
Simply - it doesn't.
I think he's jealous that he's not getting a Remedy game anytime soon.
Heck I am, I love Remedy!
Lol now lems think movie games are good. Typical.
I love it when lemmings flip flop.
Lemmings Then : It's not about exclusive, it's about Multiplatform games
.
Lemmings Now : It's about exclusive, it's not about multiplatform games.
Lemmings Then: I don't wanna no QTE in my games
Lemmings Now: What's wrong with QTE? QTE makes the game immersive.
Lemming Then: I don't want a movie game, I want gameplay.
Lemmings Now: What's wrong with a game with cinematic experience? It will expand the story and characters.
Lemmings Then: Multiplatform games look better on Xbone.
Lemmings Now: It doesn't whether it looks better on Playstation 4. Most gamers can't even tell the difference.
Lemmings Then: Eyetoy is so dumb and such a gimmick, no one is going to buy those eyetoy games.
Lemmings Now: Kinect is awesome and innovation, it's the future. Sony thinks backwards, Microsoft thinks ahead.
lol so true
LMAO!!! GT is part of what Sony games are known for, and that's setting, breaking, and then rebuilding new standards.
... With standard cars.
Dude, the fact that GT6 for the PS3 packs a ton more content than your Forza 5 and is even remotely graphically and technically comparable to what's supposed to be a next gen game is already an insult.
LOL and GT isn't a cookie cutter racer, please make me laugh more.

Keep it up this is entertainment at it's finest.

Oh no. That was all my fanboy me. But besides the point I was addressing how lems were bashing games like HR and Beyond and GoW in the past and now here we are. I bolded the Max Payne and Alan Wake because I wanted to make it clear I wasn't spinning Sam Lake's words.

I'm not sure how that refutes my point regarding GT5... You made the rather erroneous claim, lol.
So, they set, break, and rebuild standards, by using models from a previous game? Congratulations, you are a dipshit.

LMAO. Yeah, if I was a sheep I'd be jealous but I'm sorry when you have devs like Santa Monica, Naughty Gods, Guerrila, Polyphony, Japan, Insomniac, San Francisco, Evolution, Media Molecule, Quantic dream, and plenty other iconic devs there's hardly room for jealousy.
You have fun with your capitalist multiplatform devs like EA, Activision, and Ubisoft, that your console depends on to survive because Microsoft is too much of a stingy bastard to buy any decent 1st party studios.

What standards did GT 5 raise? It was in many ways a disappointment.

The only difference being that games such as Heavy Rain and Beyond are interactive movies. Games like Metal Gear Solid can be seen as movies with gameplay segments because of the often ridiculous length of the cutscenes (wasn't the final cutscene in MGS 5 ~90 minutes long)
Remedy does interactive storytelling in the way that they involve you deeply in what is happening in the world and to the characters. So they deem it acceptable to label their games as having interactive stories.

Noooooo, Remedy is far better than most of those devs you just mentioned.
Naughty Dog > Remedy > rest
Halo will always be an overrated trend in my eyes and this is just my opinion. and I'm sorry but yes it is a FACT that Halo paved the way and gave online shooters and FPS a voice on consoles, but I'm sorry I'll always find games like Half-Life, Quake, Doom, FEAR, and other older PC shooters more influential than Halo. I'm sorry but the only thing I see that halo did for consoles was that it paved the road and formed a foundation, aside from this, in terms of setting standards and things like that...I don't really see it. I'm sorry. I just don't. Bu that's just me.
That's because you have your head so far up your ass you can't see daylight. If Halo paved a road and built a foundation (your own words) then that means It set the standard in that space. You are so caught up in this fanboy bullshit that you don't realize that what you said is the epitome of setting a standard.
Lol @ you and PC shooters. Really? What do you know about them?

This thread is bad and you should feel bad.

I don't think I said anything about Gt5 specifically before did I? I think you said GT5 barely outsold Halo or Halo outsold Gt5 or something? Disregarding GT5 prologue within your calculations much? And either way what's the point of comparing a racer to a shooter? What are you trying to prove? Because unfortunately for you, here's the bottom line 'dead horse' truth about XBL and Xbox 360 and the Xbox One.
The Only thing that keeps the platforms alive are Xbox One, and the only thing that keep Xbox Live alive is the fact that all lems and xbox fanbase are a bunch of brogamers who enjoy repetition. "Hey, Jack...Did you hear they're making a Halo 4?" "No way! I've been enjoying Reach. I can't wait to play 4!" "Yeah, it looks great. It's like reach and it's all the same except you can now carry up to ten grenades at one!" "WOW! That's a huge improvement!"
The fact that games like Halo and Cod and Gears sell well shows that your platforms are full of trendy gamers with narrow tastes who enjoy repetition, and is the main reason why if you were to ask someone to post all of 360's top exclusives what you'll mostly see are those games. Your platform is severely and embarrassingly limited. Xbox Live and the trendy bro gamers are what's keeping it alive, and unfortunately and ironically, they're also what's killing it. Games like Alan Wake didn't do as good in sales and that just goes to prove my point.
I'm sorry but you have to understand as much as you find it hard to understand why I don't see Halo as a solid franchise, I also find the opinions of gamers who enjoy and defend having such a limited library and also defended the DRM E3 events and XBL fees all the way through last gen. Your opinions are severely hard to build on.
LOL and GT isn't a cookie cutter racer, please make me laugh more.

I'm waiting for a bit before I pick it up, due to the microtransaction fiasco. I need to see if they gimped the game to push people to buy...

You stipulated the franchise, so that would be a yes. I said nothing, so get your argument straight and watch who you're quoting.
This is made more hilarious, due to the fact that you are arguing with an entirely different person... lol.

Hmm, fair enough, but I don't think you need to worry.
I'm a fair few hours in now to GT6 and not even once has it mentioned a micro transaction to me. Nor have I needed to grind for anythiong any more than any previous GT game. I think it's fairly safe to say (unless it changes later in the game), that micro transactions are just a time saver after thought, and are far from needed.

Better to be a "brogamer" than to be a self absorbed nitwit that thinks his tastes are the only thing that matters.
I really can't stand that bullshit. People have different tastes and because you don't like something that they do that doesn't make you any better than them. Generalizing people is stupid.

Lol @ you and PC shooters. Really? What do you know about them?
It didn't set standards. It created a stupid trend just like the stupid 'tacked on multiplayer trend' COD created as I've proven in my other threads. Black was a 6th gen shooter that set standards. Halo was just praised because it was better as a multiplayer than what anyone had on consoles then. It gave console online gaming a foundation. And yeah, I played PC games a lot back then than I actually do now so yes I do know about those games. Setting a standard isn't being the first to create or implement an element. If you're the first to create the element or implement it, there's no scale or measurement of quality because there's only one of that thing. Does our Moon have a standard? No it doesn't because earth doesn't have other earth moons to compare our one only moon to in order to establish a land of standard. Setting standard isn't being the one and only. Standard is a matter of comparison and in order to set one there has to be other options to compare to. Being the only isn't being the standard because there's no such thing as standard when you're talking about only.
And really, don't be an hypocrite because I sure as hell am not. If I'm being a fanboy I'll say I'm being a fanboy like I've done plenty of times. I know how to argue objectively and I know the difference between a fact and an opinion. Don't call me a fanboy and think you can just brush the argument away like that.

Not sure to be honest, quite possibly. I haven't actually checked out anything to do with online features yet, not had chance.

Aaaand, you still didnt answer his question, or mine. You have yet to validate your position to anyone in this thread about what Quantum Break has to do with God of War, Heavy Rain, or Beyond: Two Souls.
But since im sure you have no intention to, I'll let you get back to keeping this awful thread afloat.
Remedy makes cinematic games. No shit. At least they don't sacrifice gameplay mechanics for the sake of story like other devs.
The Only thing that keeps the platforms alive are Xbox One, and the only thing that keep Xbox Live alive is the fact that all lems and xbox fanbase are a bunch of brogamers who enjoy repetition. Did you read the 1st page or up above cause I patiently and clearly CLARIFIED that these are all my opinions. I'll state and defend my opinion and you can state and defend yours, but if you give me stupid reasons like sales and popularity as proof that a game that's specifically designed and targeted at brogamers is being bought by the targeted brogamers, I'd have to fight off the urge to print 'DUH' on a billion postcards and mail them to you, and then have a plain circle over your neighborhood with a 'DUH' banner.
Bragging that trendy games like Halo made sales on the 360 is like bragging that games like Mario and Zelda made sales on the Wii. It's like you telling me that 95% of people who buy condoms are buying it to have sex. DUHHHHHHHHHHH. When things go according to plan there's no surprise. Ask the Joker. When MS only makes games like Halo and Gears for the brogame trend demographic that plagues the 360...it's not impressive and it's fcking embarrasing when it all goes according to plan and they make sales. This Means that MS has all you lems in the palm of their hands and they know you guys lack standards and they don't have to make new IPS. They can just repeat the stupid template once every two years and stay afloat and get away with it. "Please take my money, MS". HALOGEARSFORZAHALOGEARSPGRHALOGEARFORZAGEARSPGR. They KNOW that's all they need to keep you guys coming back. it's the sad fcking truth admit it or not. They tried giving you Alan Wake and Fable but you guys didn't buy that shit! Google Image Bro games and see what comes up.
And generalizing people? Dude, this is system Wars. People are grouped into 4 cats. Herms, lems, cows and sheep. They're already generalized. I'm not bashing anyone's opinion I'm saying I have my opinion and I'm going to fairly support and defend it.

Yep, and your opinions are shit. Just like everyone else here. Moron.
Besides your mind, where did this come from? They are taking gameplay akin to Max Payne and the storytelling akin to Alan Wake and combining them in order to achieve the experience they are building for Quantum Break.
How does Naughty Dogs factor into this at all?
Oh no. That was all my fanboy me. But besides the point I was addressing how lems were bashing games like HR and Beyond and GoW in the past and now here we are. I bolded the Max Payne and Alan Wake because I wanted to make it clear I wasn't spinning Sam Lake's words.
You didn't answer his question. "and now here we are" Where are we exactly? And what does Heavy Rain, Beyond and God of War in any way have to do with Quantum Break? or Alan Wake and Max Payne for that matter?
This thread is bad and you should feel bad.
Wait, what? When did I ever say anything about Alan Wake? Obviously you schemed through the OP. Congratulations. I didn't address the works of Remedy or the studio in the OP, I was addressing lemmings and calling them out for being hypocrites. So maybe you tell me. You saw Alan Wake and Max Payne bolded in the OP and assumed I was speaking remotely about the games when I wasn't. Go away.
HEY DUMBASS...Learn to fucking read cause idiots like you piss me off. Are you actually that stupid? because I literally have typed it over and over again. The OP is addressing lemmings because Lemmings used to say games like Beyond 2 souls and HR and GoW and MGS4 and Uncharted are all Movies and now I posted in the OP two games Q-Break and Ryse with 2 devs saying the same description, "CINEMATIC GAMING EXPERIENCE" that we've seen being used for games like HR, Beyond, Uncharted and such...so that's what they have to do with each other. Are you that stupid? Really? I had to type this out for you. I'm seriously typing this right now? Really?
Que the stupid meltdown gifs cause you they don't make you guys seem predictable at all.

Yeah, I think thats enough internet for today.
"Experience a cinematic adventure that leads you deep into the dramatic world of the Roman Empire." CRYTEK
How.does it feel, Lemmings? To have your Devs making the same kinda games you mocked and called movies?
I don't know? How does it feel to finally have features on a sony platform that Xbox has had for nearly a decade? Your recycled XBL features are a weak knockoff lol.
LMAO, how does it feel to go a whole gen with rarely any exclusives and to not get any 10s or GOTY? How does it feel to know your platform is the laughing stop of the web? How does it feel to know that the only thing unique to your platforms were stupid here and there components Sony could have just added with a firmware update? How does it feel to not know the meaning of standards and qulity?
If by exclusives you mean the Halo franchise which has sold more then all naughty dog games, God of War franchise and infamous franchise combined? I feel pretty damn good about that. If by exclusives do you mean Gears of War franchise, which has also sold more then ALL naughty dog games combined? again I feel pretty damn good. If by exclusives do you mean Fable series, which has sold more then the God of War franchise? Once again I feel pretty damn good. If by exclusives do you mean the Forza franchise that has sold more then infamous? then once again I feel pretty damn good.
My platform is the laughing stop of the web? If by laughing stop (I hope you meant stock), do you mean The One? which currently has the best exclusive games of next gen? Dead Rising 3, Killer Instinct and the only AAAE for next gen Forza all scoring better then Killzone? Or that Ryse, Zoo Tycoon and LocoCycle scoring better then Knack?
Actually, if by laughing stop(?) do you mean my overpriced PS4 that's best game is a indie sidescroller my iphone can run?
However, if by standard you mean the fact that The One is setting standards for its graphics, games, gameplay, features and entertainment that sony is trying to copy? then Yes. The one is the next gen standard.
Gran Turismo has outsold every Halo game and is a bigger franchise than Halo.
Love how cows don't have a clue.
Gran Turismo:61.4 million unit sold spread between 15 games=average 4.09 million sales per game.
Halo:50 million units(number year out of date) between 8 games=Average 6.25 million per game.
GT >>>>>> Halo in sales, deal with it. The highest selling GT game GT3 outsold the highest selling Halo game. In fact, GT5 outsold Halo 4 last time I checked. Doing averages to cover up your desperation doesn't work here. GT as a franchise is more popular than Halo ever will be.

I don't care about your guys monkey shit fight, remove my name from you quotes so I stop receiving updates about it
It's like you've never played a Remedy game before.
Don't change or spin the the OP. I'm not addressing Remedy or insulting their game making ability; couldn't care less. I'm addressing lemmings directly.
Because you're a loser fanboy just like them.
So lems love Cinematic now?
I guess games like Beyond two Souls and MGS4 are really some of the best games out there than.
I'm not sure how that refutes my point regarding GT5... You made the rather erroneous claim, lol.
So, they set, break, and rebuild standards, by using models from a previous game? Congratulations, you are a dipshit.

HEY DUMBASS...Learn to fucking read cause idiots like you piss me off.
Learn to take your own advice... lol.
You do realize that the fact that such an average cookie cutter shooter like Halo selling that much is part of the reason why people think lemmings have neither taste nor standards right? Halo only became popular because it came out on the xbox console and was better than anything ever seen on consoles for multiplayer. XBL was built on a trendy outburst and continues to be supported by trendy outburst. You lems' excitement for Titanfall is just another proof of those. To everyone else titanfall looks like Halo+Cod on steroids. To lemmings, it looks like the second coming of Christ.
Come on John.........
You are a bright poster on this forum,
Come on Kuu. You know better than that.
The Only thing that keeps the platforms alive are Xbox One, and the only thing that keep Xbox Live alive is the fact that all lems and xbox fanbase are a bunch of brogamers who enjoy repetition. Better to be a "brogamer" than to be a self absorbed nitwit that thinks his tastes are the only thing that matters.
I really can't stand that bullshit. People have different tastes and because you don't like something that they do that doesn't make you any better than them. Generalizing people is stupid.
Dude. I believe you to be too much of an fanboy for me to even waste my time reading all of that shit. I can see you drooling all over your keyboard as you typed that garbage. You believe too much of your own bullshit to entertain anyone else's opinion so I'm not even going to waste my time.
Simmer down, clown.

You know that guy who comes halfway into an argument, picks the side with the most idiots and attempts to step in halfway and fit in? Well, you're being that guy right now. Don't be that guy. Nobody likes that guy. Go away...
@heretrix: Dear god I haven't seen anyone embarrass themselves on a consistent basis like this since ShadowMoses.
Wait a minute, is John Shadowmosess alt?

I'm embarrassing myself cause you all ambushed me and I'm still choosing to stick with and defend my own opinion? I'm embarrassing myself by not wanting to accept your opinions? Ok. I hope I don't stop embarrassing myself anytime soon because that would be really....embarrassing...

For one. where the fck have you been Deadlift? haven't seen your stupid avatar in a while. And no...I'm no one's alt. Go away with your stupid conspiracy theory. You guys are all hypocrite. You ambush people who don't agree with you and then tell them they're butthurt of having a melt down because you don't agree with them? What fcking sense does that make? Cute to see you guys have your hazing gang here on an online site that you supposedly don't take seriously. Haha Yahh Ookay.
@John_Matherson: Lol, two replies to the same post?
Dont blame us for this terrible thread (and by "us", im speaking collectively for "everyone").
You have noone to blame these thread backfires on but yourself.
I'm not sure how that refutes my point regarding GT5... You made the rather erroneous claim, lol.

The thread isn't backfiring on me. We're arguing about games. I thought that was the point of a thread : /
I didn't know dumb fucks coming in and asking you to answer questions that have nothing to do with what you originally said means backfiring. idiots like most of you here are the ones who go to McDonald's asking why the Whopper isn't on the dollar menu.
