Question for people who own 360 and PS3...

Here's my Honest answer...

If you already have a large ps2/ps1 collection and still play them, in addition to wanting to play sony's exclusives AND you have the cash... yes by all means....

If you answered yes to the first... buy a new ps2 (if it's an old one it should be crapping out about now)

If you answered yes to and 2 of the reasons then buy a ps3

if you answered yes to 1 or fewer... stick with the 360 for now.

I would never recommend someone buy a new PS2 over a PS3 thats ridiculous seriously. If you're going to do that just go out and buy a 60GB PS3 right now with the emotion engine chip in it and play all those games while waiting for big blockbuster next-gen titles to hit.

I wouldn't get a PS3. Not right now. Wait until summer 2008, i'd say. There'll be more games, and it'll be cheaper. All of my main problems with the PS3 probably wouldn't be there had i not already had a 360. Most of the really good games released on the 360 quite a while ago y'see, so if you get one now you'll find it hard to find any decent games you haven't already played.

That'll change next year though.

uncharted is getting very good previews. haze is as well. ut3 will be good, epic knows what theyre doing. heavenly sword has not flopped yet

I, obviously, don't own both consoles and favor the PS3.

But I don't recommend ANYONE buy the PS3 right now. Not because "teh PS3 has no games" trash but because there's a price drop coming. Obviously I can't guarantee when. But there will be a PS3 for $399 by this holiday season or just after.

Mass Effect > Tekken 6, Metal Gear Solid 4, Gran Turismo 5, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Final Fantasy XIII? Sorry, but you really just proved how fanboy you are. 1 Great game is not better than potentially 6 great games.

I already have a 360 and I am planning on buying a PS3 and I just wanted to know if there is that much of a difference between the 360 and the PS3. Should I get a PS3 or just buy more games for my 360?ps_fan

If you are going to use the PS3 for Bluray movies then you should do it. If you're going to use them purely for playing games then I'd advise you hold off on the PS3.

With every fiber of my being I believe that Sony and the PS3 have done nothing to warrent a single purchase this gen yet... All I see is great games coming out consistantly for XBOX360... Wii and PS3 have been in a slump since release and despite what rabid fanboys have to say it's not clearing up anytime soon...

pffft... I still would like to add that I use my PS3 heavily... mostly for the ps2 games, there's a plethora of games out there for the ps2...

One the biggest reasons I bought a ps3 is for the backwards compatibility. I just didn't feel like buying 2 consoles

Crap more games i want then what i thought.

Hmm im getting a 80gb ps3 at a pretty decent price, however Im starting to feel little buyers remorse about it. After checking out whats comming this holiday season and what has been written in the forums, Ill probably just hold on to it. If things dont pick up then Ill just sell it. I couldnt care less about multiplats because I already own a 360. Being a PS2 only owner last gen, I would like to play gt5, killzone2 and MGS4. Guess Ill have to wait to see what the future holds because as of now the ps3 still seemd stuck in 1st gear.

I bought my PS3 in January and only have 2 games on it so far. I am glad to have it, but really I could have waited for a price drop and it wouldn't have bothered me not having one. Of the two games I have, one is a multiplat and the other should be obvious. I haven't seen anything new that has interested me that I don't already have on the 360.
