Question for the Regular System Wars pple. PS3 vs 360: Whats the 4-1-1?

I used to frequent this board, not anymore.

Im interested though, what is the status between ps3 and 360. 360 hasn't had a great year, their games have been pretty mediocre. multiplat argument is dieing since they are getting more and more identical. both 360 and ps3 both got their first 10 on GTA4, PS3 got one more with MGS 4.

What was the reaction to the MGS 4 rating? How do the lems feel about the PS3's rising glory, the 360 is not selling the way it used to, ps3 sales are always rising, and i think PS3 have always beaten 360 in hardware sales for every month of 2008.

just wondering, are lems becoming more quiet, or are they coming to peace with the ps3?

i own both, but i hate lems, they're the most ignorant of all three fanboy types. (sorry for generalizing

I'll answer for you.

The MGS4 score doesn't really matter. They text of the review says that if you don't like MGS games, this one won't change your mind. That's all I needed to hear. I hate MGS games.

I admit ps3 is doing better, but I still don't know anyone with one, nor is it good enough for me to buy it yet.

360 sales are always up from the previous year every time NPD results are released. Significantly, too. I believe they said it was up 70something percent last month.

Lems are only giving cows some of what they earned last gen, when they mocked Dreamcast and Xbox. Ironically, Xbox games often were under 9.0 on gamespot, but higher elsewhere. Lemmings would try to point that out, and cows would say "Only gamespot matters". No that stance has come back to bite you this gen (mgs4 being the exception).

Lots of boasting from cows about the MGSIV review. Lots of damage control from the lemmings.

It's the usual, although the playing field seems to be more even in here now.

Some cows act like PS3 is leaps and bounds better than the 360 when it really isn't. Metal Gear Solid 4 is impressive, but it doesn't make up for the fact that the PS3 had a rather dull 2007. Cows seem to get cockier and cockier each day. PS3 hasn't had that many more impressive games over 360. PS3 REALLY needs to prove itself this Holiday season. Little Big Planet needs to have endless amounts of customization with good online capabilities. Resistance 2 needs to top Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in both single player and multiplayer. It should offer four player online cooperative play and be long, epic, and unforgettable. SOCOM: Confrontation needs to crap-kick Gears of War's online play. I mean, it focuses solely on online, so why shouldn't it? Motorstorm 2: Pacifict Rift needs some freaking offline play and more options.

2009 looks better for PS3 with exclusives such as iNFAMOUS, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, God of War III, Gran Turismo 5, Killzone 2, and the like.

I admit that is true. I wrote a post late last year about how it had become bored here because the cows were getting beat down TOO much. I hated them when they were on top, but I didn't want them destroyed so bad that they were almost extinct. Whenever they even tried to make a point, they were just laughed at. They had almost no angle to debate (except 360 hardware failures). Ratchet & UNcharted gave them at least a LITTLE to fight with.

It's already over, most people are were planning on buying nex gen consoles have already done so.

jaded? im sorry but are you stuck in 2007 when the ps3 was still 600 dollars? just to keep you updated though, the price tag is down to the same as the 360's elite. 399$. alright there skipper?
