"Just Wait" continues

So until today the standard mantra of the cows was "Just wait till in-game XMB!!!"

Now in-game XMB is here. The new mantra? "Just wait for the devs to patch their games." Or "Just wait; this is the first phase."

Not that many cows were saying that. What I've seen are a few Hardcore cows, and a ton of Fakeboy's.

The New XMB features were shown by Sony, there were no Falso hopes. It's better than it was, and it's still improving.

I dont understand why people care about the xboxlive fees,Its 50 dollars a YEAR!!That shouldnt take that much money out of anyones wallet,not even the poorest of the poor.Live works great and is very user friendly so whats wrong paying that very insignificant fee to have a great online setup with a console.I really wish i could have a similar experience with the ps3 because there are a few games on that system that id enjoy playing online.Psn needs a major,major update and a standard headset for chat.loudharley

Why do people say that. I have had a ton of private chats since launch. In fact, the PS3 can have up to 6 chats going at once. I talk to people on Resistance, Warhawk, COD4,and GTA4 all the time.

You can use ANY USB headset, including the SOCOM ones. The Logitech headsets sell in stores everytime I go in.

On top of that, Sony has the official Wireless Bluetooth Headset coming. That part of your arguement doesn't hold much water.

It would have been nicer had sony just waited for all the updates to be intergrated with one HUGE download.

Kept all these updates quiet and then BOOM one day, another area of the PS3 is unlocked.

But then again, good things come to those who wait. I'm just waiting for the "phenomenal" instead of "half-baked".

You don't really have to pay 50 up front when you start Live. You can either pay the 12 month plan which is 8 bucks a month or just use the free 48-hour card that 90% of the games come with :|

Actually, SOME games you can play online with Silver. Halo 3 you could play non-ranked games online but you can't really play ranked games. Or so I heard.

Nope, it didn't work. "Some profiles connected cannot play on Xbox Live" or something to that effect.

Just like we already know, you need Gold to play online.

It only took a year+, in the meantime we've had how many grreat games? Loads of great games>1 "perfect" game and i use the term perfect loosely, in fact when it comes to MGS i use the term game loosely as well.

I'm 'just waiting' for in game custom soundtracks that stream from my PC, and the ability to have voice-chats with anyone, whenever I want. Oh and Home. Still waiting on that.

I appreciate the improvements, but without the 3 aformentioned features, the in-game XMB leaves me wanting.

i never understood why people use the "you have to pay 50 quid for your online gaming" XBL costs less than a pound a week and you get excellent value for your money, also when you pay for something and it goes wrong microsoft have to be responsible, the only reason psn is free is so sony don't have to be accountable if it goes wrong, you know the "stop complaining it's free" line. how can anyone complain about less than a pound a week, the mind boggles.delta3074

Anyone who says PS3 owners are still waiting have lost all credibility, I mean is it wrong to be excited for upcomig games like R2, LBP etc while still being able to play current games like MGS4, Uncharted etc. 360 gamers are looking forward to GeOW2 but that does not mean they have no games to play right now. i wonder why lemmings are so interested in PSN and its updates.... if only lemmings invested their time/energy they spend bashing PSN, in putting pressure on MS to make its online service free (AS IT SHOULD BE), that would be so much better...

But unfortunately its not like that.... oh well I am more than happy with the PSN service, its not perfect but its evolving and getting constantly better... :)

360 owners are still waiting for built-in wireless, blu-ray capability, Remote play, and free online play. But then again, that will never come. So really, just because PS3 doesn't have 360-esque features that are equal to the 360's, it still has some big advantages of its own.gecko_hawaii13

I don't know of any 360 owners waiting for those things. If it was that important, they would have bought a PS3. And builtin wireless is an overhyped feature. Ethernet kicks its ass in speed reliablity and security.

Not everybody feels like running 40 feet of cord through their house. Having built-in wireless makes sure everyone gets an equal chance to play. But getting bang for your buck has never been Microsoft's mantra, and it never will be.

Well, my stated point was that they would never come even if they were clamouring for them. And I don't know of any 360 owners who would turn down these features if they were offered.

i dont know why people say that. i've never had any problems with wifi on my ps3, and its as secure and speedy as my wired connected xbox 360 when i played online.

you could tell me my 360 is running on wifi, and my ps3 is running on wired... and i wouldnt know the difference. they are both as fast for me.

The PS3 has been outselling the 360 world wide since launch, and for the last 4/5 months in NA. The PS3 has the exact same game attach rate as the 360 had during the same time period. And pretty much all analysts now believe that SOny will have closed the sales gap by the end of the year, prety much making MS's headstart a waste.

So I fail to see what this "just wait" BS from the lemmings is all about. The 360 is already losing, and the supposedly impossible features that MADE the Xbox and 360...the features lemming swore were impossible for anyone else to do, and SWORE even louder that they could never be free...are showing up on other consoles for free.

Sorry. But if anyone is holding on to the "just wait" MYTH it is the lemmings. Because they refuse to admit they've already lost. And to keep their fanboy hopes alive they keep saying "just wait" until SOny flops, and "just wait" until MGS4 bombs, and "just wait" until Halo 3 comes out and PS3 dies, etc. etc. etc.

Never before have I heard fanboys of a console that is last in sales claim to be so bloody mighty and invinceable.

Sony gave you a list of Trophy compatible games, but so far they haven't patched PAIN which was one of the games in that list. They lied once again and we're waiting for the patch. So I agree with the TC and the topic, the "just wait" continues.
