im not disagreeing but how does a level editor make a FPS good or better then another FPS with that feature alone?

8 player co-op with its own campaign destroys a map maker.

to be fair one is a plateformer where level editing is more suited to its gameplay, it only hurts a game if it doesnt have an editor but its unfair to compair apples to oranges

um from a gameplay perspective from what i can gather by my (limited tbh) time with halo3 its just like halo2 but with a few cosmetic changes and forge (along with picture and movie storage, but thats not gameplay)

and r2 adds alot more then what r1 had

Halo 3 didnt change up its formula and its still an amazingly popular FPSand it still craps on resistance 2.

it actually only adds 20 players from the first one, if they added 60 then that would be 100 player matchs in R2

and there will never be any FPS that will be as popular as the halo series is, no matter what the console is,

but popularity doesnt exactly equal better, but as someone said before bigger =/= better either

it all comes down to opinion

The addition of 20 more players is not the only upgrade to R2 multiplayer. Instead of a 60 man all out chaotic mindless battle, everyone is broken up into squads to accomplish squad specific objectives.

One boss shown =/= the entire game.

You're in the minority, a lot of people thought it was great. Anybody who's not a fanboy can easily look forward to Resistance 2. Part 1 was kind of lame, but part 2 looks to improve on everything.

Hopefully they release a demo.

Ding ding ding! If it's anything like the first Resistance, I'm going to need to keep myself very caffeinated to even play it. I kept putting off getting Resistance since other games were a priority, and then I finally bought it, popped it in my PS3 and...Three days later I never played it again. Resistance was a perfectly decent game; the level design is okay, the enemies are interesting enough, I suppose, and some of the guns are downright cool. However, the whole package just came together and bored the hell out of me. Hopefully Resistance 2 won't be more of the same, although it's irrelevant, since I'll be picking up a certain Xbox 360 exclusive shooter this fall instead of it, anyway...

from what i gathered from both games, neither of them were at all "deep" story wise so its a moot point arguing that
