God damn, son. Dreams crushed?
The article does not bring up any of the solutions the PS4 has to address the drawbacks of GDDR5 memory, nor does it bring up the discrepency between the two console's GPU.
The article focuses entirely on memory configuration, and it is clearly stating that each console's memory configurations could be more comparable than most people originally believed. However, the article does not go into the apparent drawbacks of eSRAM or the different memory configurations that MS made public on monday. The writer even states he didn't attend HotChips this year and this is all primarily base don his first pass on the slides he saw second-hand. I wouldn't take his word as gospel.
AMD Tahiti didn't waste it's transistor budget on 32 MB ESRAM or non-GPU functions i.e. Intel Core i5 or i7 easily covers the non-GPU workloads.http://techreport.com/news/25288/xbox-one-soc-rivals-amd-tahiti-for-size-complexity

How so? please explain how that statement is leaning more towards the negative size? it may seem like that to you but thats just your opinion, which i suspect is biased, lol To me it says they just don't know, which is a 50/50 is most peoples books.[QUOTE="Trinitarian"]exactly...how can they say if may be closer and in the previous sentence say we dont know yetwell, the word MAY usually suggests that it MAY or MAY not, Hence, they don't Really Know. Some peoples understanding of the english language is just laughable on this forum, lol[QUOTE="stereointegrity"] "With that said, we don't yet know whether the Xbox One's eSRAM will provide enough oomph for Microsoft's new console to keep pace with the PS4"stereointegrity

I just find it funny and a bit sad that a person can lose his cool so easily on an internet forum. I agree with the article btw, there's a chance that the 2 might come close in performance due to the SRAM and what not. And in term of multiplat, there won't be much difference (other than a couple of FPS & some better texture here and there), with the exception of a few titles, much like last gen. Not a tech savvy, and I really couldn't care less about the difference.
