RAGE Demo out on 360, Coming to PS3 and PC*

When asked about the delay, Bethesda's Pete Hines responded. "There was no time to branch the game before release to do the work necessary, get it tested, and get it certed," said Hines viatwitter

For those still waiting to "try before they buy," Bethesda has announced that the RAGE demo is now available on Xbox Live and that PS3 owners can look forward to accessing the demo later on December 6.

*Hines also explained that the PC RAGE demo will differ from the console ones,saying"We are working on something for the PC as well. Steam allows us to do some things differently than we can do on console."

It doesn't "suck", but it's definitely not up to the standards that id was supposed to live up to.

I already got RAGE for free from a friend on PC.

Still, I wanted the PS3 version more since I wanted to see how it was possible for it to look and run so good this late in this generation. This demo means I can check that out.

Oh i see, thanks for clarification, i didn't played the demo completely (downloaded it earlier) though i assume it end after the mission in the well. It was okay, definitely not worth the full price.

Good. IMO: The game looks bland and boring, but that's only by look. If I can finally play the demo and see just what it is then maybe I might change my view. :)

1999-2004 gameplay in mind, aka better than these stupid worthless modern miliitary shooters, enemies that run around and are spongy, are a joy to shoot. And the mechanics for the shooting itself are nice, you can actually move and shoot instead of Having to stair down the sights(playing the Whole game at 40FoV) to get the bullets going in the right direction.

Wait, you can use stairs as sights in modern games? That is awesome, sorry old games, new games let you use stairs to aim your gun and that is awesome.

I just played the demo. IT'S AMAZING :D

Seriously, I loved the demo, lots of customization, incredible visuals (Sure, many things look insanely lo-res but it still looks fantastic and the framerate is buttery smooth. It's a true achievement considering it's running on 6-7 year old hardware) and fun missions. Definetely buying it now.
