Rage has probably the biggest chance of becoming graphics king of 2010

Rage will definitely be biggest contender for graphics king of 2010...no doubt about it,after all its John Carmack that is developing it...game will use megatextures which will be huge step forward in terms of graphics...its open world running in 60 fps...

Well considering how graphics are now first thing on everybodys mind her on SW,we shouldn't care :) *crossed fingers,hoping for it to be great game*

Well they are not exactly bullshots...its called megatextures...basically developers are able to use as much textures as they want to with no performance tax...the game itself is 1 tb in size because of that...everything you see around is one huge meagatexture,its great and it takes so little of console memory...

Don't get me wrong, the game looks good, but I do not understand the praise it gets. Killzone 2, Crysis, Gears and Uncharted 2look better than that to me.

You should look up some of HD videos...it looks phenomenal and it will run 60 fps,that says it all...after all its ID engine 5...they are known to bring the best possible graphics available with their new engines...

And yes...all those games you stated that look better are corridor shooters or linear adventures(thou they still look amazing)

If it's being done by Bethesda, it just as well may. Just look at Oblivion! Epic graphics, even if character design does look a bit... meh.

Console wise i think it will be between Rage, Crysis2 and Reach.

Systems wise it will obviously be Crysis2 on PC

Carmack said Rage will look like that on both consoles running 60 fps...and Doom 4 will come after looking a hell lot better but running 30fps...Crysis 2 will take crown,but not on the consoles it wont...

Crysis is the only other game that has a chance. The lighting and texture work is some of the best I've ever seen. Not to mention the draw distance and the fact that it runs at 60fps.

Hopefully it's still slated for 2010.

And again...this looks like bullshot because of great textures,we are not used to see that kind of textures in open world games running 60 fps but that is what megatextures are here for...

I guess you just have to see videos...they have it running on all tree platforms...again i say it all looks like that because of megatextures(men im starting to be boring :))but that is why Id and Carmack have so much respect in gaming world(excluding angry fanboys who cant stand the truth).You should check on youtube when he is demonstrating the tech...its crazy...no worry about amount of textures and memory they take...brilliant...

No in reality it will be Crysis 2 and Rage...Alan wake looks a little worse then it looked before and heavy rain besides great character models looks cool but not Crysis 2 or Rage cool...after all these are technical masters and when it comes to graphics it is hard to beat Crytek and Id...

Yup, the textures are insanely detailed for a game this size. It won't have the realistic look of Crysis, though. Can't wait for this game.

I personally don't have any difference playing games locked at 30fps then one at 60fps. As long as both are locked and have no framerate drops then I'm fine.

Yes but in shooters it is always nice to play at 60 fps...not to mention what it takes to have great graphics at 60 fps...

Actually no, apart the reflection on the helmet, the game ended up looking about the same. Reah just need to look half as good as it looks on the trailer to impress me

obvious bullshots are obvious. im waiting to see what it looks like in game, all the devs are using bullshots now i wish they'd go back to using actual in game pics.

Well you are free to roam the open world as much as you can...while in the for example alan wake you just can go with path that is programed to go with...its that simple,rage will probably(with crysis 2) be the most advanced game technical...you just cant have open world,great graphics and all that at 60 fps...its gotta be something...maybe Carmack...that fanboys love so much to hate :)
