Ragnarok is so good that world class actors are desperately trying to be in the next game (this is simply incredible)

Stranger Things and Violent Night star David Harbour would love to be a part of whatever's next for God of War.

In an interview with Video Games FN about his general affection for video games and an upcoming role in a horror game with Killing Eve star Jodie Comer, he was asked what other video game projects he would like to be involved in. He said, “I really like what those guys in the God of War universe are doing with my buddy Richard Schiff as Odin. They sort of mess around with that genre too, and they're always surprising in terms of these gods and they wind up becoming--Thor is a big old jerk and Odin being this kind of older intellectual." He concluded by saying, "I'd be interested in possibly doing some of that.”

David Harbour is far from alone for his admiration for the most recent God of War, as it is now the fastest-selling first-party PlayStation game ever. As the game wrapped up the franchise's Norse saga, if David Harbour were to be a part of the next game, it would presumably involve a new mythological framework.

In addition to the aforementioned horror game, David Harbour is already involved in a PlayStation project. He will star in the Gran Turismo movie alongside Orlando Bloom, Archie Madekwe, and Darren Barnet. God of War will also have an adaptation via an Amazon streaming show.

This is simply astonishing. The game is still half a decade away from coming out, and hollywood actors are already desperate to get a role. Which, lets be honest, is perfectly understandable. The quality of writing in Ragnarok is better than 100% of titles released in the last decade plus. The acting is simply superb, and on another level. Everyone wants to be in the next god of war, its this good of a series now. God of War is not simply a Flagship series anymore, its THE Flagship series that demands your respect.

Respect GOD OF WAR.

Not a good day for Lems. First their games went up in price (they thought MS wouldn’t do that 😆) and now we’re finding out actors want to be in the next God of War. TLHBO.

Just beat the game yesterday and totally going into my #1 spot of 2022! Whoever the any actors Santa Monica hires, they better be doing Egyptian mythology next. Do I want to see Kratos in Egypt? Why the hell not? Sure, bring him to Egypt.

I found lore about the Mayans and ancient Egypt in the game. Wouldn't be surprising if the next game is in one of these two. Or an underwater world, something like the Atlantis could be amazing as well.

Predicting the obvious is not making crap up. Ragnarok is a world class game, and seeing world class actors wanting to be part of the series is nothing surprising.

It really does not matter anyway, as the video game industry has become Hollywood. Interesting that the major film studios are not thinking about buying out game developers and publishers.

Sony and Warner/Discovery are already in gaming and movies. Disney is losing there ass right now and can't afford to buy anything. I don't see Universal getting involved either but who knows.

The despiration, it's palpable.

I think David Harbour would be a great addition to GoW, but OP needs to take a few deep breaths and chill here.

Ragnarok is so good it matched Xbox studios halo's 9 out of 10 here at game spot.

It wasn't good enough to beat Xbox studios deathloops 10 out of 10.

Chin up cows, you don't have to feel bad about not calling Sony out on game price increases now Sony opened the door to MS

The presentation of Ragnarok is so high quality that you can indeed mistake it for a movie. Only Sony is able to reach this level of greatness.

@hardwenzen: Even Sony themselves call it a movie. Sony fans love movie games that play themselves. Reviewers do too, it’s easy money. The review basically writes it’s self and Sony sends the check.

You're not defeating the point of anyone. You're simply jealous of this not happening with Xbox franchises. And in 2023 you'll be talking about waiting on 2024, this is how you roll with your gameless xbox.

Bro, High On Life launches in a week and has voice acting by J.B. Smoove, Tim Robinson, and Tom Kenny. Grounded has a bunch of actors in it. Hell, Halo 3:ODST had Nathan Fillion and Adam Baldwin. Fable 3 had Ben Kingsley.

Your argument is ridiculously false.
