Admittedly, the maps are the major differentiator between the two. I really liked the re-implementation of PEC from Lockdown....not CoD4. I liked that you can get xp from whatever mode you're playing in and depending on how you play, you gain xp in different categories, unlocking different sets of weapons and armor. I thought that was pretty neat. What really bugged me with the first Vegas was that the graphics were such that it looked like my screen was always covered in vaseline. Vegas 2 was a noticeably crisper. So to answer the TC's question... yes, there is still a sizeable community playing Vegas 2. There shouldn't be a problem finding sessions to play in.VoodooHak
Yeah, the PEC mode was nice to have again, especially for a game that is actually fun. Only problem was there were some areas in the single player where you could perform XP glitches, but I think most of them (if not all) have been patched. And I'm still kinda mad about them not including retrieval mode from Vegas 1. For whatever reason it was removed :(
And yeah, Vegas 1 looks pretty bad compared to Vegas 2. #2 looks much sharper overall, and loading times are much, MUCH faster. Vegas 2 has a bigger community, and peole are actually respectful and fun to game with.
It's just a shame Ubi abandoned this game...I know I would have paid for more maps/gametypes. Only map pack we got was a old map and two dark versions of pre-existing maps.
