I use to have this game about a year ago and traded it in, i really enjoyed it and regret trading it in. Thinking about picking up the 360 version tommorrow when i trade in my 20gb console for a 360 elite. Do a lot of people still play this game online to make it matter?

Oh God, that game is such a joke. The campaign is even more toned down than the first Vegas (at least in RB6:V you would still die 90% of the time you went in guns blazing) and the multiplayer tries to be tactical, but winds up being a spray fest all the time.

I loved the multiplayer. the game has the best cover system i have ever played in a shooter and i love the spring button. Do a lot of people still play online?

Get Vegas 1. People still play online, and it is amazing. I enjoyed Vegas 2 while it lasted, but truly the game was absolute crap. The best part about both games was the stellar oline community, especially with vegas 1.

get Vegas 1. It is amazing, and you definitely enjoy, especially for the price you can get it for now.

Never got around to playing RSV2. Don't think I want to either. A lot people said it wasn't as good as the original. I think you can find a few people still playing it online, but they're mostly the hardcore veterans that have memorized the game inside out.

Its not that good actually. Very repetitive campaign with average multiplayer.

Dont bother RB6 V2 is such an embarrassment to the RB name I dont even consider it a sequel. It rip's off CoD and tries to be tactical

I enjoyed the game. If you don't expect it to be ultra-tactical you will enjoy it, most likely, and the cover system is fantastic, in my opinion.

oh yea man, the cover system is hands down the best cover system out of any shooter ive played. More FPS should implement it, if COD had that cover system it would be perfect!

Why the heck does CoD need a cover system when it had lean and peak?

I agree. That was my pain problem with it also. It tried mixing tactical with arcade, and it ended up awful. Not to mention the online was very host-dominant, and the game didnt improve that well at all over Vegas 1.

I am pretty sure Vegas 2 still has a community on the 360. Problem is Vegas 2 was so Meh compared to the first one. The SP and Co-op was fun but the MP was trash. They tried to copy waaay to much from COD4.

I'm sure there are a lot of people playing it. It is inferior to the first Vegas though.

The game is nothing compared to the original vegas, which still has a solid community.

Only thing the first Vegas has over Vegas 2 (other than the much better campaign) is multiplayer maps. There's so many of them, and a lot of them are great. Other than that, hit detection + graphics + lag are all improved in Vegas 2. Online community is still rather large, I still play once in awhile, I think I'm a Elite 18 or something.

i would take a rainbow six 3 * that is polished (no bugs), better graphics, and realistic gun shots, OVER Badcompany 2 or MW2.

i love the stealth or ability to hide behind stuff. etc, loved the second one.

Admittedly, the maps are the major differentiator between the two. I really liked the re-implementation of PEC from Lockdown....not CoD4. I liked that you can get xp from whatever mode you're playing in and depending on how you play, you gain xp in different categories, unlocking different sets of weapons and armor. I thought that was pretty neat. What really bugged me with the first Vegas was that the graphics were such that it looked like my screen was always covered in vaseline. Vegas 2 was a noticeably crisper. So to answer the TC's question... yes, there is still a sizeable community playing Vegas 2. There shouldn't be a problem finding sessions to play in.

Yeah, the PEC mode was nice to have again, especially for a game that is actually fun. Only problem was there were some areas in the single player where you could perform XP glitches, but I think most of them (if not all) have been patched. And I'm still kinda mad about them not including retrieval mode from Vegas 1. For whatever reason it was removed :(

And yeah, Vegas 1 looks pretty bad compared to Vegas 2. #2 looks much sharper overall, and loading times are much, MUCH faster. Vegas 2 has a bigger community, and peole are actually respectful and fun to game with.

It's just a shame Ubi abandoned this game...I know I would have paid for more maps/gametypes. Only map pack we got was a old map and two dark versions of pre-existing maps.

The PS3 version has a ok following still, SOCOM and the MAG beta took most of them away and the PC version still has a decent following.
