Hmm...
According to a poll where about 1500 people voted there were 40% (or something like that, I don't remember SW numbers) lemmings. 30% Hermits. 18% cows and 12%sheep. This does not have to be correct, but you will get VERY MANY people telling you PC and X360 is best (I'm going to get quoted with people saying "but it is"

Reviews would also suggest the 360/PC is best and the majority of reviewers are not fanboys of any faction. Maybe you could even assume the majority of people here are lemmings today because it has the best games currently. Last gen I was a PS2 fan for the very same reason and the majority of people would have answer PS2 when asked this same question.
NONE.
Because none of them has produced a game that has blown me away the way Soul Calibur, MGS2, Final Fantasy 12, DOA3, and GT3 have on Dreamcast, PS2and xbox.
When these systems start producing games of that calibur then I'll decide which is better, until then, they all fail.
*edit*
To be more accurate, right now you guys are arguing over which system is the least sucky. Because none of them right now has produced any game that can truely be considered GREAT. We talking about DMC 1 and Katamari great, Guitar Hero and Ninja Gaiden. These aren't simply rehashes or exclusive to a particual system, they are monuments of originality and driving force to excite gameing and nothing out so far has has that--and please don't mention Halo 3.

Mass Effect is coming :). And I thought Gears of War, Dead Rising & Crackdown had that feeling, no matter what people say.
So far:
PC>>>DS>>PSP>>>360>>>Wii>PS3.
I expect more from all three home consoles.
SmashBrosLegend
*the bold part* I can agree with that.

Very strange choice in games from last gen. What exactly did these games do that was so great? Out of them I only rented DMC and though it was a rather generic hack and slash, which is a style of game that does not appeal to me at all. For me the likes of Bioshock and World in Conflict top these games easily. This generation may not be appealing to you but that does not mean it has been bad.

If you felt like that then good for you, I'm not going to argue your feeling because that a lost battle. However are you telling me that you that something like crackdown is on the same level as Halo 1, MGS2, or DMC1? Andall of those games were made in 2001.
In my eyes when I play something truely great and get blown away it will alot more for any subsequent game I play afterwards to have that same effect. And when we are talking 5 or 6 years later and developers are making games like Crackdown...I'm sorry but for my standards (because of the games that have already blown me away) I'm not impressed.
Anybody remember when they first saw or played Soul Calibur on DC? How about MGS2 on PS2? That's what I'm talking about.

Then you are a noob.
Before DMC 1 there was no hack and slash 3D engine for video games. It was the first! Every 3D hack and slash game could pay homage to DMC 1 because it set the path. Maybe it's the fact that probably every single 3Dhack and slash game you've ever played copied some fundamental elements from DMC's formula to make is seem like DMC is generic when in fact it's the other way around.
I chose those games because real gamers know what each one of those games signifies. If you are relatively new to gameing or don't konw much about the history or timeline of the games being dicussed then it's probably best not to make comment such as the one you've made above.

Just because you say not to mention a game doesn't make it any worse. Oh and Gears of War is a game that completly blew me away. So the 360 gets my vote.

Gears of war has good graphics...I'll leave it at that. For me tho, that's not quiteenough.

I'm no expert on the genre but wasn't Onimusha similar to DMC? Seemed much the same style of gameplay to me. Anyway as i said hack and slash games have never appealed to me, so again it all comes down to personal preference. You could agrue something like GTA3 made huge waves in the industry though. That would be based on factual sales figures and not opinion. Anyway as I said, if your not enjoying this gen that's not good for you but there is many people who are. I have been playing games since 1981 and mostly PC games, for the style of games that appeal to me this generation has been good so far.

Wasnt impressed with MGS2 at all. Dead Rising was impressive, who had ever played a game with hundreds of zombies on screen at once? Gears of War is one of those games that was so good there will be dozens of copycats. Crackdown was the first game where it actually felt like you could do anything and go anywhere you wanted.
DS is winning :D
Some may not consider it a console but out of all systems avaliable it by far has the best and most diverse lineup.
hiho24
Actually, no. Out of all the systems PC is winning. :P
I just want to start by saying that anyone who uses the number of games alloted certain scores is using a weak arguement towards the quality of a gaming library.
That being said, i honestly believe the 360 has the best library(though my favourite games this gen are wii games)
360
Wii
PS3
