I like their first one. Reminds me of those goldeneye deathmatch days

I think the first one was the best. Even the intros were better. I remember seeing the metallic Nintendo logo flying outta nowhere with this deep action music playing in the background indicating the epicness of the game.
[QUOTE="Fragasnap"]I do find their newest logo to be extremely boring, but what I dislike the most about it is the orange hexagon in the corner. The slash-crescent icon wasn't enough? Now you're going to slap some other generic shape over it? Maybe they want to make us forget they once had a different development team that made good games...RavensmashThey've made nothing but good games.
their average scores from this gen compared to their N64 'glory days' is only a 2% difference.
too bad people won't give up the Rare hate around here.

It's ridiculous. I'm thinking it's more to do with the fact they're an MS first party nowadays.... Off topic: Just played a demo of Nuts and Bolts recently....how amazing does that game look visually?![QUOTE="HavocV3"][QUOTE="Ravensmash"] They've made nothing but good games.Ravensmash

Off topic: Just played a demo of Nuts and Bolts recently....how amazing does that game look visually?!wouldn't surprise me:? MS's handling of Rare looks pretty healthy, they've worked on 3 IPs for the 360 this gen. they all scored AA or above on MC. and MS allowed them to make some Nintendo DS games as well. it defeats the ideal that MS only allows their devs. to make one game or work on 1 IP.
and their 'soul', Free Radical, made a 50-something on MC with glitches galore, but when they were rumored to be working on Crysis 2 MP and possibly Timesplitters, there was no quality problems or issues:| Free Radical is still teh bezt.
whatever, SW logic is like a whole language.

It's just that Rare's quality of games have changed over the years that turns most people off.
Rare is a NATAL developer now guys, and I have followed the exodus of talent there, not just Free Radical, but it's a nice list starting with Stamp, and ending with Wise. They have to do what they have to do.
Also, SW seems confuse an issue. Both Viva Pinata games are essentially the same game. Viva Pinata : Trouble in paradise was the exact same game but it added more pinata's, and only added two new areas. a toy and a mode. If you played a LIFE SIMULATOR game (primarily a female demographic like Harvest Moon, Sims, Animal Crossing, etc.) and was essentially a Viva GOTY (Like Fable II GOTY, COD4:MW1 GOTY Edition, etc.). However, due to the name (Trouble in Paradise), people in SW get confused in thinking it's a full on sequel, when it's more like the same game with added content. I just wanted to get that out there this year. Every year I make this post about once. After the purchase, I was surprised to find it was a full $40 considering I already had Viva Pinata. Oh well.
Didn't know that about TiP, but if I find it I'll pick it up again. Are they 100% Natal now though? I wouldn't mind if it simply used it in some way.Rare is a NATAL developer now guys, and I have followed the exodus of talent there, not just Free Radical, but it's a nice list starting with Stamp, and ending with Wise. The only bad thing Rare did this generation was Perfect Dark Zero, but that is because it was a GameCube game on the Xbox 360, and not an Xbox 360. The developer cycle and life of Perfect Dark Zero was horrid, so it is easy to see how it turned out to be not up to snuff.

This is old news no?
