What used to be in some of these hallways?
Rumor has it that they were destroyed and tossed to prevent employees from taking them home.

Well it's already a well known fact that MS messed up Rare. SAGE_OF_FIREWhy not put the studio out of misery..And close it..
Those statues were a fire hazard. Glad their employees can now roam the halls safely.MFDOOM1983
Even though their old stuff >>> their Kinect stuff, that does make sense, I suppose.
And I just noticed the Samsung advert on the hurdles. Hell naw, lol.
See kids? This is what happens when developers are treated like some pimp's b****. RARE used to be great until M$ bought them and ruined everything great about them.
And? so we are going to start judging developers and companies based upon renovations of their offices?
I think you mean nintendo.See kids? This is what happens when developers are treated like some pimp's b****. RARE used to be great until M$ bought them and ruined everything great about them.

[QUOTE="ChubbyGuy40"]I think you mean nintendo. Seriously. WTF Conkers, Banjo Kazooie, Killer Instinct? Thank god we have Kinect Sports now.See kids? You know what would be cool? Is if they did everything there without the need of hands! All doors open automatically, everyone rides unicycles, everyone drinks through straws in the ceiling, they type on giant keyboards on the floor using their feet where they have to keep in rythym to the background music. I hate kinect, but that would be so cool....Indie_Hitman
Lol, yeah, the entire studio becomes Kinect inspired! Would probably be fun to work there. Then again, producticity may decline. :P

WilliamRLBaker
It would be fun, i would love to see some devs offices :P
Not judging of course, but it think it's interesting.
Doesn't it hurt your manhood being a company's ***** ?imho Sony should acquire Rare that way they can make great games again
Snyper-007
people like to blame microsoft for ruining RARE, but It was nintendo who didn't want them anymore (which I think they were insane for that), and sold them to microsoft. upon that, all the key members of RARE left, leaving a broken and battered RARE. micorosoft didn't make those employee's leave, it was their own choice given that they hated the situation they were in.
as for all of these cancelled projects and things that microsoft terminated, I can't help but think it was RARE that couldn't get their act together to make them. after all, RARE was with microsoft for 3 years on the xbox and all they brought us were grabbed by the goulies (awful) and a remastered port of an old game.
so, you might has well blame the world for what happened to RARE, they were doomed to fail when nintendo sold them. truly one of the greatest developers of all time up until 2002.
[QUOTE="MFDOOM1983"][QUOTE="SAGE_OF_FIRE"] In 2007. The only team that left prior was the Goldeneye team (left to make Free Radical), Rare still made Perfect Dark 1 after they left. SAGE_OF_FIREstar fox adventures... They were making Donkey Kong Racing before MS took them.
...which was horrific.

I'm not sure if I ever saw gameplay for it, only a cgi trailer.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts is a ton of fun. They still had a lot of creative talent. Now all they have is Kinect shovelware.
I want that Joanna Dark statue for...uh...memorabilia purposes.

I want it for naughty purposes that require modification :P

Now I'm starting to realize that your posts are satire. No person would ever defend a massive corporation laying off people, making changes that fans and ex-employees (Chris Seavor) despise, and then hire only temp contractors.
Ladies and gentlemen, WilliamRLBaker is doing us all a favor by helping us realize all the wrong that Microsoft keeps doing to the industry. I thank you, kind sir.
he reaps MS like it's nobodies business.....

Or maybe, just maybe (and I know this is somewhat thinking outside the box)......they decided to redesign:shock:

Or maybe their new evil Microsoft masters forced them to forget everything they know about making quality games so they can start from scratch and make shovelware Kinect games. In doing so they must trash/destroy everything that holds them to their glorious past and force them to embrace Kinect.
