Killer Instinct 3?!?!

Nice teaser Rare, but we've all lost faith in your games..Blue-SkyThere games are still great all of the games released on the 360 have been AA or Higher even though Perfect Dark Zero might not deserve it but it still got it so how could we lose faith in there games if there games have been AA or higher.
Nice teaser Rare, but we've all lost faith in your games..Blue-Skyyou should fix your comment since you do not speak for the majority. You have lost faith in their games. However, Conker: L&R, Kameo, PDZ, and Viva Pinatawere AA or better. Stop the hating just becausethey are part of MGS now.
I hope this is true,
KI has always been my favorite fighting series.

They are working on it and it will be XBox 360 exclusive with XBox Live support. It's going to be a very Merry X-Mas after all.
Anyway, we'll probably get the announcement at the E3 next year. I hope it gets released in time for X-Mas 2008.
Nice teaser Rare, but we've all lost faith in your games..Blue-Sky
why? cause they make games for the 360 now?
Just shut up. Rare games have been great, Conker was awesome, Kameo and Viva pinata (original one not the party game) were all great games. just cause PDZ sucked doesnt mean you have to "loose faith".

No, it's because Rare lost the ability to innovate years ago.
It was bad enough how they tried to kill the Donkey Kong series by doing the same things over and over and over.
Conker is a perfect example. You're saying it's a great game but it's the same exact game from the N64 with better graphics. They polished it up a lot and didn't fix anything mechanically flawed in the game. That's Rare's idea of innovation these days.
"How's the gameplay?"
"Forget that, look at all the individual hairs in Conker's tail!"
Rare's outings on the 360 have been saved by the studio's name recognition and the small library of games at their release dates (like Perfect Dark and Kameo)
I still love how when KI was originally released, TONS of people hated it and bashed it. Rare even tried to keep it alive on the N64 (I believe) only to be crushed. They killed the series right after that because so many people bashed it and refused to spend money on it.
Now all of a sudden, people act like KI is the greatest fighting series of all time and go crazy over even the slightest hints of a part 3.

STOP right there.........Conker Live & Reloaded for Xbox was not trying to fix mechanics and why should it was considered AAA on N64. They rereleased Conker because few got to play the N64 version. All they added was a multiplayer component which was fun and upped the graphics to Xbox standards. Why the hell would a reissue Innovative.Whether you felt PDZ or Kameo lived up to the hype or not is a moot point. They originally started as Gamecube games, went thru many versions, then became launch titles to fill X360's library. A much better example of current RARE is Viva Pinata, which is widely acclaimed by critics and was talked about by some sites as GOTY for 2006, but it was to small of a title to win awards.
Your just an immature whiner.

Sorry, Nintendo killed Donkey Kong. Rare tried to bring him back and did a fairly good job. There are people in the world who are fine with minor changes and aren't looking for the biggest innovation changes ever. Some of you really don't understand that, and when one developer decides to listen to you and makes the huge innovations and changes to a franchise you like, you'll be disappointed.
Alot of Socom 2 fans were, and still are highly disappointed with 3 and Combined Assault. Why? Because they tried to change what made Socom, Socom. Sure you can add a few things here and there, but don't screw with the entire formula because its going to disappoint the fans.

Yeah, all that was wrong, times like 8
So people don't mind lack of innovation and don't like changes?
Well let's see what Rare did with Donkey Kong Shall we?
Donkey Kong Country came out and it sold over 9.25 million units shared between US and Japan with about 3 million each
Donkey Kong Country 2 came out with little to no changes and sold less then 5.25 million units with 2.25 million in each the US and Japan
Donkey Kong Country 3 came out with little to no changes and sold sold 3.5 million units. Out of that it was the Japanese audience that was trying it's best to keep it afloat with over 1.75 million sales while the US could barely muster 1 million sales.
So let's see, Rare kept on doing the same thing over and over and over and they lost over 4 million sales from 1 to 2 and then another 2 million from 2 to 3. So in all, Rare's lack of thinking up ANYTHING new over the course of the series cost them 6 million players. More then two thirds of the people who bought Donkey Kong Country didn't stick with the series. What's even worse is that over the time it took to release all three games the SNES' user base grew and they STILL couldn't scrape up enough sales.
So unless you think people like lack of change and they like it so much that they don't BUY the games then no, what you said just isn't right.
Meh. It would be cool if they released KI3 but I'd rather Rare focus their attention on Banjo.Aljosa23They have more then one team and the whole Original Banjo team is working on Banjo Threeie with the exception of the Stamper Brothers who left to start there own company, another team can make KI3.
[QUOTE="kingfire11"]Why Banjo looks sad?

Teh Cancellation!
I don't know, Banjo looks pretty sad, that's weird, maybe they're facing some problems in dev? and he looks gay the old look of banjo is a way better than his new look.

Halo 2 & 3 hasn't changed alot from Halo 1 , they're more of the same, and look how good it sold.

kingfire11
Apples and oranges
Halo is a story arc that's set through 3 games, in each games there have been noticable tweaks through the series but their main sticking point is to upgrade the games while staying on point.
The Donkey Kong Country games are three seperate entities that don't follow a storyline. There's no linking arc of story or gameplay that you have to follow. You're able (if you're someone not named Rare) to take the series in any direction you'd like.

We play sales? Um, lets look at what Nintendo did with Donkey Kong.
Donkey Kong: You play as Jumpman (later becomes Mario) and Donkey Kong has kidnapped Pauline.
Donkey Kong Junior: You play as DK Jr. while this time Donkey Kong is held captive by Mario.
 Teh innovationzzzz, oh and let me mention that both games were accepted well by the public.
Donkey Kong 3: Mario gets his own game, so you take control of Stanley the Bugman. The whole formula is completely changed and it is not recieved well.
-See, change the formula and its generally not accepted.
In comes Rare who brings back Donkey Kong after Nintendo abandoned him and focused solely on Mario. You already discussed this, so I won't.
Once Rare is done with DK, lets take a look at what Nintendo does with him.
Mario Vs Donkey Kong, good game and recieved well. The sequel is not however because they change the formula.
Then they totally just kill DK after. They release the atrocities by the name of DK: Jungle Beat and DK: Barrell Blast, which is possibly Top 25 worst games ever.
Nice teaser Rare, but we've all lost faith in your games..Blue-Sky
Yeah we all lost faith in the most consistently good developer this gen ...9.0 for PDZ (derseved an 8.5 imo), 8.7 for Kameo, 8.3 for Viva Pinata, 8.5 for Viva Pinata 2, 8.5 for Banjo N&B (deserved 9.0+ imho)...speak for yourself
