I prefer the real deal.OreoMilkshakeObviously >_> But you dont see alot of pixar-looking graphs games these days,no?
They are miles apart. Not even comparable. Still, it looks good for a console game though.Marka1700
Seriously get your eyes checked there really not that far apart and come the next consoel generation pixar visuals will be standard.
Were talking about game animation here..=/ UNless i misread somethingNo, the closest thing to Pixar that I can get is a Pixar movie.
And the 2nd closest is Dreamworks

You wish. Even Pc games are miles off at this point. Current gen console would not even be able to reneder the content of a pixar movie at 1 frame per second. Same deal for most peoples PCsno offence but u tried to knock of ironbass's jk :|No, the closest thing to Pixar that I can get is a Pixar movie.

Same deal for most peoples PCsErrr first of all there are few pc games that that even uses the same visual style as Ratchet and clank that is even close to that quality of visuals . What does pc have that is compareable? Sam and Max? And that game gets smoked by Ratchet and clank. You simply have no clue what your talking about. Yes the computers used fo render pixar films are extremly powerful but visually Ratchet and Clank does a pretty dam good job coming close to it. Go look at the old tory story movies. They look like crap compared to Ratchet and Clank( just to give you an idea of how far we have come. ) And yes there have been several industry insiders even the CEO of UBISOFT and Crytek that have said the next consoles will produce visuals on the level of Final Fantasy sprits within.
Looks so much better than Tools of Destruction graphical-wise.
I'm playing it now and it's such a great game.

For videogames, its close enough
You mean Pixar is the closest thing to Ratchet and Clank as you get.Floppy_JimYou and Iron Bass win this thread.
Minutes? Don't you mean hours?[QUOTE="Tykain"]Looks great, but its not close to pixar movies at all. Just 1 frame of a pixar movie takes several minutes to render on a computer, don't expect a game to render that kind of graphics in real time any time soon.Willy105
Link.
Even more than i thought then, and what i said is actually misleading because it's not a single computer rendering it, they use a "rendering farm" which is a series of computers networked together, to render their movies. So yeah definitely not gonna see games with such graphics any time soon.Minutes? Don't you mean hours?[QUOTE="Willy105"]

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction has very good graphics :D It is on-par with Pixar animation
Yes, but a majority of their movies suck while R&C are awesome. Hey! I liked the Shrek movies and Kung Fu Panda.[QUOTE="IronBass"]DreamWorks is closer than that.Chutebox

[QUOTE="Chutebox"]Yes, but a majority of their movies suck while R&C are awesome. Hey! I liked the Shrek movies and Kung Fu Panda. Shrek is the minority. Kung Fu Panda on the other hand...Well, I'll leave you alone![QUOTE="IronBass"]DreamWorks is closer than that.SpruceCaboose
