Nintendo products have proven superior to almost all others other the years.
You have to TRY to even hurt a gamecube, let alone break it. It withstood a f'king shotgun blast!
actually xbox 360 is the most unreliable out ofall videogame consoles that have everappeared on the face of the earth.
The PS3 is damn near indestructable.Wasdie
Which ps3 did you get?
The one I've felt would crush itself if dropped more then 2 feet.

Yeah, I haven't had a Nintendo console die on me, like the PS2 did. The 360 is still alive and kicking, but who knows what could happen to mine.
ive had bad luck with nintendo, both my snes and 64 dont wanna read my cartridges, it takes like 10 mins to get a game to work, i know a LOT of people that have a wii though and not a single problem(controllers a different story), in my opinion it seems to be the most reliable by FAR followed by the ps3 then obviously the 360[QUOTE="Wasdie"]The PS3 is damn near indestructable.mushroomscout89

My brother dropped my PS3 from about 5 or 6 feet onto its corner on tile and all it did was chip the plastic a little bit. Still works fine, though I wouldn't want to test is durability again.
P.S. you "felt" a PS3? Mental note: don't let you around my PS3.
Nintendo products are indestructable.
There was a gameboy that survived a bomb. I'm not even kidding, it still works. There's a picture of it somewhere.

Give me another verb. :\

It was from Iraq. It is at the Nintendo World Store in New York right now.
I rememvber turning to the station just in time to see her drop the weight on the gamecube.. I made a mistake and said "WTF!?!?" out loud. That was one horrible experience to turn to a station and see my console of choice get crushed by a weight......http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBHH-H837gg
Amazing.
They did this twice, for the same results.

M$'s hardware is unreliable, not hardware in general. That's all they proved.KungfuKitten
xbox 360 isnt highly reliable. The og xbox was very reliable. The ps2 and ps1 both would break if you looked at them the wrong way, but it seems the ps3 is pretty reliable. Nintendo wins hands down.

wow :o is that from X play?
Well, think everyone has had cartridge issues with the original Nintendo...but I blame that on age of the system and technology.
I remember I received a Nintendo 64 for my birthday! I was sooo happy! I didn't have a game for it yet, but I wanted to see it light up...I plugged it in...and, nothing. The system would not turn on. There was something wrong with the power. I had to return the system the next day and got my birthday check to get Super Mario 64! :D joy to the world fromt here.
Other then that, I never had any trouble with my Nintendo systems. Again, after age and constant use....
Super Nintendo still works fine...again, only age issues on occasional cartridges.
Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, Sega DreamCast and Sega GameGear (my Mastersystem is MIA)...are all in excellent working condition. I never had any issues with a Sega system...
My sony systems: My Playstation has been laid to rest. The top doesn't always stay closed. It lasted well into the PS2 lifespan. Oddly, once I bought a PS2...Playstation died. Sony conspiracy? I think so...MY PS2...well, all 3 of them, suffered faiths do to my stupidity. I dropped one of them and it still worked, but it took longer and longer for games to boot up. I am still unsure where my PS2 went too. lol.
Xbox(Halo edition ;) ) : Works fine, never had an isse, the system is like a box of armor. It even plays games that are badly scratched. Impressive.
I know my gameboys have gone through hell and back and lasted...
The GameCube was a compact pandoras box...not even god is capable of destroying that thing. If a nuclear holocaust happened, cockroaches and Nintendo Gamecube would survive.
No console is reliable they all are just hardware. Microsoft prove that with the red rings of death. Even Sony had errors when you put in a game on the PS2 and PS1. And Nintendo is just whatever ever since N64 they used cartigaes and then to Gamecube they switch to small disc so all the games I bought for the N64 was wasted. shadowfox55
i've never had an error wiht a PS1 or PS2 game in my PS3, but mine also has the EE chip bcz its MK I model, the PS3 is also really good design and build
so id have to say sony, like wii is kewl, but lack ofbackward compatability is bad, though thye did ad old games on the shop..but you have to pay for those...wii is pretty good quality, but the entire thing is a disc drive pretty much, i havent had a problem since i got mine
and 360 backward compatability is a joke, i len tmy friend mercenaries 1 for xbox 1 and he owns a 360, and they didnt have the download for it....360s also break a lot
again thats my expearience wiht the consles, other ppl may differ so dont falme/bash me bcz ur a fanboy
my little cousin found the gcn's weakness: the huge fan. he stuck a flaky browny next to the fan on the side of my gcnand the cube sucked up a bunch of crap. though i really dont blame nintendo for that.
anyway, this gen the ps3 and wii seem to be very reliable.
I have never seen a broken GameBoy to this date. My NES still works. I've never witnessed a broken SNES either. My N64 is still fine, and I've never seen a broken one. My GC is fine, and I couldn't tell you the abuse it's been through. The first day I got it, it fell off the roof of my car- WHILE I WAS DRIVING!Wii is doing just fine.
Of the products currently available, I'd say Nintendo's are known to be the most reliable. I've also never heard anything about SEGA products being unreliable, but sadly, they aren't in the hardware business any more.
