[QUOTE="rasengan2552"]We're shivering in our boots. 3ds doomed, vita dead. Everybody should be scared. Not only do smart phones produce better looking games, but its the really simple barebones games that are burying ROMS/cartridges.How are sheep taking this news ?

Sheep are too busy swimming in the loads of good games the 3ds has been getting to give a single f*ck Shinobishyguy

And all with NO PHYSICAL BUTTONS.

And yet the games suck compared to proper handheld ones.
Nintendo needs to strike a deal with Apple and Google ... to intergrate app stores in their e-shop.
rasengan2552
Nope.
Yet but once the tablet market evolves a bit more, even consoles might be threatened. Mark Rein of Epic and Cevat Yerly of Crytek seem to think so too.And all with NO PHYSICAL BUTTONS.

Reality is that mobile =/= handheld gaming. Plus they have no buttons, so they're always be leagues behind handheld devices.
Oh, and they have no games.
But how many people are playing button handheld games? I mean even as a gamer, I would much rather play Zynga Poker, Candy Crush or Infinity Blade on my iPhobe than lug around an extra handheld device. Meanwhile, if smartphones didnt exist yet, I would probably own a Vita to replace my PSP which is already collecting dust.Reality is that mobile =/= handheld gaming. Oh, and they have no games.
ChubbyGuy40
On the contrary.. they're the most relevant games, half a billion have played Candy Crush Saga. How many have even heard of Kid Icarus ?Mini-games aren't relevant video games so whatever.
Big_Pecks
Why not? They are certainly becoming more popular.Mini-games aren't relevant video games so whatever.

Or Mario. Or Zelda. Or Starfox. Or any other exclusive on 3DS OR Vita. In fact, all with no game any cor gamer would ever buy.And all with NO PHYSICAL BUTTONS.

Casual gamers will play casual games, but no hardcore handheld gamer would ever stoop so low as to play temple run

Nope. Other way around. Casual gamers will play temple run but they won't play WoW, StarCraft, Halo, COD, CSS etc. Gamers on the other hand will play anything worth playing.Casual gamers will play casual games, but no hardcore handheld gamer would ever stoop so low as to play temple run

Handheld devices just generally pass the time in a waiting room or in the bus for most. Its really no different than our phones replacing our portable CD, MP3 and DVD players as well.Reality is that mobile =/= handheld gaming. Vita and Android/iOS games are on the same level because both are flooded with indie games.
Â
3DS on the other hand, has quality games.
Casuals and Hipsters buy consoles too so why not? Just look at the success of COD. Or better yet, the Playstation 2.casuals and hipsters are gamers?
quebec946
So casuals and hipsters are classified as people who download games on their phones ? this logic is profound ! Nothing more hilarious than elitism in the gaming community. As if your handheld allows you to be taken more seriously than a guy holding a smartphone. You still wear pajamas, mr. hardcore ?casuals and hipsters are gamers?
