This is to all the people who put out topics saying "THE PS3 IS 'OFFICIALLY' DEAD". Do you realize that the ps3 has sold more consoles than the 360 did in its first four months?Do you realize that it was this time last year that the major shortages were just starting to end?

[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"]And yet it is still in last place. With the highest price tag and least games.nolsonumm...its only been out for 4 months...360's been out for a lot longer. I'm just saying how ridiculous some peoples statements are...like yours.
Of course, his statement is totally ridiculous. PS3 is in last place and it currently has very few good games. I dont see whats so ridiculous about that statement.Â
And sales matter to gamers because?Chogait assures a future on your platform. devs don't like to spend much time on games for consoles that no one owns.
So, what was so great about the Xbox 360s games during it's first 4 months? PDZ? Decent game, comparable to R:FoM, but after that what is there?TekkenMaster606
First four months? There was this game....umm....what was it.....OH YEA! Oblivion. There we go.Â
it assures a future on your platform. devs don't like to spend much time on games for consoles that no one owns.[QUOTE="whoisryanmack"][QUOTE="Choga"]And sales matter to gamers because?Choga
That would explain the lack of good games for the PS3.Â
it does explain the loss of ps3 exclusives very well.umm...its only been out for 4 months...360's been out for a lot longer. yeah actually it is totally ridiculous to expect it to catch up that quickly. This is to all the people who put out topics saying "THE PS3 IS 'OFFICIALLY' DEAD". Do you realize that the ps3 has sold more consoles than the 360 did in its first four months? But the 360 was never in stock until this time last year, so its not a fair comparison. In March 07 you could walk into a store and buy a PS3, in March 06 you couldn't do that with a 360.

yeah, hes knocking it for being in last place when the 360 came out way beforehand. And sales matter to gamers because?ChogaA gamer that concerns themself with marketing and sales is not a gamer.

[QUOTE="nolson"]all im saying is the ps3 is far from dead.Choga
Well thank you captain obvious. Of course its far from dead, its only about 4 1/2 months old!
choga no need to be a jerk. did you NOT read what i said in my original post? theres been plenty of people saying the ps3 is dead. maybe you should say that to them.[QUOTE="Choga"]And sales matter to gamers because?BK-SleeperA gamer that concerns themself with marketing and sales is not a gamer. as well as not being oblivious to reality. everyone wants to own the next ps2, because of the games. what got ps2 the games? sales.
[QUOTE="Choga"]And sales matter to gamers because?BK-SleeperA gamer that concerns themself with marketing and sales is not a gamer. actually if a system doesnt sell, it fails. you know what that means. you dont get any games. soo sales do matter to gamers. IF sales didnt matter to gamers and people who cared about them werent gamers...well we've got a WHOLE lot of non gamers in system wars.

Right but who cares if a system fails? Frankly, there are always going to be killer games out there. And to sudgest that a system made by the likes of Microsoft, Sony, or Nintendo will fail is something I cannot grasp. Now if Lamborghini were to make a console, then MS, SONY, and Nintendo should be shaking in their boots.

Because of a powerful yet shoddily constructed console that only appeals to a certain niche? not to mention that said console would be doing all it could to rip off what another more successful company had already done.[QUOTE="Choga"]A gamer that concerns themself with marketing and sales is not a gamer. actually if a system doesnt sell, it fails. you know what that means. you dont get any games. soo sales do matter to gamers. Im thinking that if lambo made a console it would be a mix between the PS3 and a nasa computer. It would have 0 games.Â

who cares if a system fails? must we be reminded of gamecube last generation with its last place finish? the system with the least amount of sales will get the least amount of games. I think alot of people will care. no matter how you spin it nintendo failed with gamecube and the games released on it showed that.

I dont think you understand my original statement. I mean that even if a system fails, good games will still be available on other systems too play. Therefore, only the gamer can win the in the end. Â

do you realize that a system that's been around for a year and half, with no competition for 1 year, and exclusive AAAs since launch sold around 9.8 million worldwide to this day? (this is the 360)
but the competition, with lack of exclusive AAAs and only 5 months in the market already sold 3 million units (PS3) and 6.4 millions (Wii)?

I blame this on consumer ignorance.Â

And once again your logic fails because its based on the presumption that the PS3 will continue to sell.

not if you only own one system.
