reason why ppl hate the wii

1.It's a gamecube with a new controller,which isn't bad it's something new but none of there top games needed the wii mote.

2.there is no game that needed the wii-mote or use it well

3.all there top games are games that we've been playing since supernintendo (zelda mario etc. but they are great games)

4.after you beat games like mario Galaxy,Zelda there's nothing Else to do

5.worst on-line ,i can't belive how bad the online is "friends code is the worst idea ever"

6.wii owners like myself miss out on great games like cod4,gta,gears,mgs etc.... (but i have 360 also so dose nt matter)

7.Nintendo has to b the only company to use the same story line for 25 years (Mario)

9.lots of wii games don't have voice overs and games that do don't have cut secnes and are usually pictures moving(sonic )

10.if none of there top games needed the wii mote or did not use it well then there's really no piont cause you've could have done the same thing on game cube

11.idk what ppl are thinking when they say wii has a better libray of games than 360,ps3 i have a wii and it dose nt, ok mario zelda,metriod,ssbb is fun but after that theres really nothing esle

1. No it's not it's more poweful than a Gamecube, many games have shown this.

2. Of course, no game is ever going to be like that, it's only a controller after all, but a lot of games would be no where near as much fun on a normal console, with normal controller, like No More Heroes and Medal of Honor Heroes 2.

3. You answered this yourself, they are still great, so why not still play them? Sonic is still around yet no-one moans about that, it's not quite as old but still very old, and most of his games suck now, Mario, Zelda etc games are still awesome.

11. To be honest, I like Wii's upcoming and current games more than 360's and PS3's, CoD4 is dull, as is Halo, I didn't mind Resistance, or Uncharted. Seriously the only games I would want on each console is, 360-Dead Rising (I LOVE ZOMBIES), and PS3, MGS4, Haze and KZ2, which aren't even out yet.

12. No they aren't, and so what, nobody is forcing you to buy them, a fair amount of DS's library is the same, doesn't matter there, doesn't matter here.

13. So what, Most of 360's 9's are multiplatform anyway, I figured it out only 3 are AAAE's. PS3 has no AAAE's...

Depth? All the "casual" games you listed have depth, Zelda has a 40 hour single player mode that's 4 times more than most FPS's on 360 and PS3, you can't say a game has more depth because it has multiplayer.

Everything I highlighted is incorrect.. the ones i didn't are by preference.

The real reason?

Too many casual gamers who first got into consoles because the PS1 became super popular and they wanted a PS2 like their friends have convinced themselves that the "cool" or "popular" console is the one with the best graphics and the most violent games.

After 7 years of lying to themselves, these gamers now believe they are "hardcore" gamers who know all about gaming and are the future of gaming. However, a console like the Wii arrives and completely goes against the image-based notion of gaming they have built up for themselves, and that props up their confusion that hardcore gamers = graphics w****s and FPS fans. Suddenly the most popular console is the console that offers something different, something that the others ignore and games aimed at an AUDIENCE the others have ignored.

These deluded casuals are now worried that their casualness will be exposed and they will no longer be able to wrap themselves in the BS false self-esteem. So they lash out. They call the Wii stupid and kiddie and accuse it of killing the industry. The better it sells, and more popular it becomes, the more afraid and angry they become.

Little do they realize, that the success of the Wii isn't the real problem. It isn't the threat that will expose them. The real esposing comes from their angry and illogical reaction TO the Wii. They want people to believe they are REAL gamers..."hardcore" gamers...who love gaming and the industry and want it to thrive. Yet they don't feel like companies making profit is a good thing. They don't think expanding the market is a good thing. They don't think innovation is a good thing.

No. In their mind the only good thing is bigger losses, smaller audiences, and fewer games. They only want the same FPS, arcade racers, and popular "mature" games that made them think they were cool in the first place. To them, their concern isn't the industry or gaming. Their concern is defending their mistaken thinking in the first place.

It's like trying to talk to the people who still support Bush. No amount of logic works, because they don't care about logic or facts or reality. To admit these things would be to admit their thinking was wrong in the first place. That they made a mistake and therefore are partially to blame. They equate this with being stupid and inferior and lesser than others and their insecurity kicks in so they lash out in anger. Someone else is always to blame.

That's the REAL reason in a nutshell.
