Reasons to Sell 360 and buy ps3?

unless you don't wanna play upcoming games like banjo, geow2, star ocean4.......

xb360 has 3 years waranty , ps3 only 1 year warranty, think which one you need to worry about.

as for mgs4, I can say microsoft will anounce 360 version at E3 , only 6 monthes rlease date later than ps3.(if you think I'm kidding, please dig this thread up after E3.)

Why not get both?

the chances are if you are posting reasons for why you should get a ps3, it sounds like you have already made your decision.

Having both is the best choice, but the ps3 is a great system.

Why? Why sell a system? So many people ask this and there is only one smart choice. HAVE BOTH. Buy a ps3 when you have the money but keep the 360; Its foolish to sell a system, Fact.

They are both worth every penny. Take it from someone who has sold many systems before including 360 at one time.

I would be surprised if you could sell your 360..all your games..and have enough for a PS3 and a game...

Why not keep the 360 and pick up a PS3 in a few months...the games will still be there

Think about it, when you sell or trade your 360 you're already losing money unless you find a way to double your money, which I doubt. So you're best move is to just save money and by the time you get that money, all these supposed cool features for the PS3 will be out.

The PS3is a very nice system. I had one for a while after my 2nd RRoD, but in the end, I just prefer the 360 and what it has to offer. Keep in mind that the 40 GB PS3 does not offer B/C for PS2 games and somehow seriously doubt someone who is on their way to college has $500 to drop on the 80 GB Metal Gear pack! I also stress that unless you hav a HDTV that runs in full 1080p, the BluRay thing just doesnt mean that much. I have a 720p Phillips and to be honest saw only marginal visual upgrade between the BluRays and normal DVD's.

2. MGS4

3. Free Online, im not saying that live is not worth the 50$, i think it is. I just don't want to have to worry about a yearly or monethly fee whille in college. I just want to be able to play online and not worry about having to pay for it.

4. Backwards compatibility, Not that 360 doesn't have it but i have tons of ps2 games that i want to keep playing, and owning a ps3 makes it easier to play them.

5 Blu-ray player. High Def movies.

6. Tekken 6 (Huge Fan)

Are these good enough reasons to sell my 360 and buy a ps3?

I like 1, 2, 3, and 5. But you have to have your own reasons.

If you get the 40GB PS3 this would be a horrible reason to sell your 360. To play PS2 games with a 40GB PS3 you'll need a PS2, because Sony took Backward compatibility with PS2 games away from the 40GB one for some reason.

But I would tell you to just buy a PS3, and not sell your 360.

There are many great reasons to buy a PS3. There are very few legit reasons to sell a 360.

I would suggest, as a gamer, saving up and getting a PS3 when you have the money, and to also hang on to the 360 for a variety of reasons.

I say sell it.

If those are the reasons that you are going to abandon a platform, might as well sell your console now so that someone who appreciates the XBox 360 can have it in time for the anticipated titles of the 2nd half of 2008.

After just finishing MGS4 two days ago, I can say ... no single game is worth buying a console for. I finished it in 17 and a half hours, it was very memorable and possibly the best game this gen, but now what? The next ps3 exclusive game I'll be buying comes out mid September, Socom Confrontation. Every other purchase worthy title is on both consoles.

The Blu Ray player functionality is the only one of the choices I would consider the swap for, but I would wait for e3. I forsee the inevitable Blu-Ray add-on for 360 finally being announced.

The only reason I can think of is: "Because you haven't got much money and want to play MGS4n a console you can't really afford." Better to wait till you have the money without getting screwed over by Gamestop in their trade-in scams, but to each his own, I guess. You'll be sorry when the next big Xbox exclusive comes out, though.

I say sell it.

It is all about the games If your a fan of ps2 games then get a ps3 and if your a fan of the xbox get a 360. Also don't forget about the upcoming games.Also the PS3 comes with more out of the box unless your thinking about an elite.

yes im sure MGS4 is a great game BUT to get a ps3 just for that then the wait of more great games in the future is ludicious.

monthly/yearly fee is nothing to worry about you simply extend it using the XBL marketplace £30 a year is nothing to me.

tekken...dont like the tekken series..the ones ive played anyways

The best reason to sell your 360 and buy a PS3 is because you don't like games.

1. you will have more time to talk to girls

2. you will have time to finally start working out

3. you will have some extra cash to go get a new look anymore because HEY!, your not a gamer anymore
