[QUOTE="UnrealLegend"]a true GTa fan wouldnt say that. theres loads missing from the game and you're too blind to see it if you think GTA V is better lolSo, you just listed a bunch of tiny things that barely affect the game. So what? GTA V blows SA out of the water in pretty much every area.

I've loved GTA since Vice City. What makes you think I'm not a huge fan?
Yes, there's a lot of stuff from SA that isn't in GTA V. But so what? More stuff doesn't make a better game. The basic mechanics in GTA V in infinitely better than those of SA, and that alone makes it better in my book. I don't care if I can't go in a Burger Shot. I don't care that I can't go to the gym and play a boring work-out minigame. Really, everything you're complaining about is completely trivial.

Cause you don't notice how much is missing from the game that made GTA a good series ofc it makes it a better game. GTA V looks beautiful i love the city , but most of the map is just nothing but hills like no point in going on the other side of the city, it has the same stuff in los Santos , unlike gta SA u had to travel if u wanna play in the casino , and more it was worth driving somewhere . now im driving across town just to see the same shops over and over ??Hey look, the attention whore felt she wasn't getting enough attention.foxhound_foxlol yeah cause i made one post im the attention whore. you're the attention whore pal

-Nothing that made GTA a good series is missing from GTA V. Nothing. Some activities were removed, and new ones were introduced. Either way, the loss of minor content doesn't make it a worse game; especially when the main features (driving, shooting, etc) are superior to that of the previous games.
-Of course the wilderness is mostly hills. In real life, the wilderness is empty. Do you expect something interesting at every corner? Also, the wilderness in SA was also very barren, so I don't know why you're bringing this up in the first place.
-I don't know where you're getting the idea that they have "the same shops over and over". Each section of Los Santos has its own unique vibe and appearance. There's suberbs, docks, airports, beaches, hills, skyscrapers and just about anything you can think of the put in a city. Variety is not something GTA V lacks.

No offense but based off what little I read, you like most of the boring things in the GTA series. Its also fair to say, most everyone here doesn't agree with you either. I bet you will be all addicted to this game, once GTA Online is released and you will feel dumb for talking down on it before.
P.S. Make me a sandwitch while you are wearing your undies?

Oh yes there is, the customizations are limited , in GTA SA you had Jewelry shops , clothing and ect each had their own value like Binco was the cheap one, the others was middle class and HIGH class and expensive . you felt rich buying stuff from the other shops the shooting is worst to most gta fans and driving as well noo i expected more cities instead of a big pile of dirt to drive in and trees . nope the all have the same shops in every part of gTA V . going else where isn't needed cuz u got everything in one city so no point in going across town. . what are you doing in GTA V thats soo fun?* Better story mode Valid, though highly subjective* Better and funner missions No, there was too much filler. Most of GTAV's mission's felt worthwhile.*More to do True, though GTAV doesn't exactly have little to do* had 3 cities, One city is better than three cities when it means more effort and attention to detail can be put into it.more customizations, And? Does that make The Sims better than San Andreas? and wasn't too realistic. What kind of complaint is this? :? The "realism" in GTAV never obstructed the fun, so why even bring it up? The only "realistic" thing I can thing of is the car handling and physics, which are much better than SA's* Grove street was actually Grove street Again, this is a garbage complaint. The story wasn't about Grove Street, and was only put there as a reference (being the most famous landmark of SA, and all). Also, it's quite clearly marked as Grove Street, so this is totally invalid. AussieePet
Nope theres a reason behind that which is old news now :) besides idk why you hating for . you're always hating on me starting to think you're jealous AussieePetNo hate, just facts.
Im a big big fangirl of GTA games and Rockstar. IMO Gta San Adreas is still the best GTA and game ever made. GTA V dissapoint me, The map is big but only one city and the rest is sand and mountains . Unlike GTA San Afreas which had 3 cities. and still manage to have a nice sized Dessert . GTA V doesn't feel like a GTA game , the citizens are not reconizeable like the previous GTA games. GTA V is too Realistic now. The cops doesn't seem to have a funny personaily like the old GTA's they just seem like boring normal cops. Grove street isn't really grove street its owned by the Ballas now which is stupid, you can't even get the grove street gang to have gang wars with the ballas. besides that . the story mode wasn't as good. it was nice in the beginning , Isn't really much to do on the game. you can't work out, can't go in burger shot , can't buy houses to store more cars in your garage . the fighting system isn't as good too much kicking. the cars physics isn't as good as GTA IV where you can crash to em and make em flip over . the animals are basically pointless in the game. You die too quickly now. i was fighting a ballar and then out of no where 50 ballar members came and shot and killied me less than 2 seconds. which isn't FUN since i didn't use a gun inthe first place. the customization is limited. only 10 hair syles total i think, can't buy jewerly, the only things you can really spend money on after beaitng the story mode is cars . ofc u can buy properies but its pointless since nothing else to buy other than cars . this game doesn't even come close to being as good as GTA San Adreas.

Outside of Los Santos there are numerous small towns, a military base, a prison, farms, lakes, desert, forest, and mountains. There are tons of missions and diversions to do out there.
The only truly strong story in a GTA game was GTA4. GTA5 is pretty much just a typical GTA plot and characters. THat's not a bad thing btw, and the story is ten times better than the confusing mess in San Andreas
The cops lack personality? No more so than in GTA4. I love the revamped wanted level system too, that adds a new stealth element and makes losing cops on foot feasible now, whereas in GTA4 the only way to get away from cops is in cars. They also took away a lot of the street cops so you aren't being constantly pestered by random cops. Way better.
The physics stuff is different. Better in some ways, worse in others. For such a bigger map than GTA4, I think having more forgiving driving is a needed addition.
There's a lot to do in GTA5. The side games are better (tennis, skydiving, etc), and I love the Red Dead style random encounter missions.
There's way more stuff to buy in GTA5 than in San Andreas. There's very expensive properties to acquire. If you are really looking for something to do try playing around with the stock market (and this can be fun if you try manipulating it by attacking competitors). The only thing San Andreas has over GTA5 is the territory wars, and that part of SA pissed me off big time by stealing away all my progress towards the end of the game.

Customisation is nice, but it's hardly the reason why the GTA series is so popular. (and by the way, GTAV has weapon customisation whilst SA doesn't) And FYI, there are different "value" clothing stores in GTA V.
Shooting is worse? No. You're talking out of your ass now. The shooting in III, VC and SA was clunky and awkward; easily the worst aspect of the series at that point. Keep lying to yourself though.
Driving is much more dependant on preference, I suppose. I wasn't a fan of SA'a overly arcady handling, and I thought GTAIV over-realified it. GTAV found the perfect balance IMO and it's even better being able to use Franklin's ability to do some unique stuff.
You say there's no reason to leave the city, but there's plenty of landmarks across the country that are worth exploring as well as country towns (which again, have a totally different atmosphere).
I find GTAV fun for the same reason I found the others fun: being able to do what I want in an extremely well-made city that offeres heaps of variety.
I really, truly believe that GTA5 is the best GTA game ever made. This game is simply incredible. I've played this game a ton too, so the newness of it has worn off on me. I still love it. When there's nothing left to do I'm going to start a new game. I hardly do that with any games, much less GTA where one playthrough is enough for me. Imo, GTA5> Vice City > San Andreas > GTA4 > GTA3 > Episodes > GTA4DLCGTA San Andreas > GTA Vice City > GTA III > GTA V > Episodes from Liberty City > Liberty / Vice City stories > GTA IV.
So GTA V is actutally better than GTA IV

I'm warming to the game a bit now but I agree it is overrated. It would be hard not to be considering all the hype and people going crazy about the game. The problem Rockstar has is it's hard to make classics, no amount of money thrown at something can produce good writing or the intangibles that makes a classic and like is the case with many sequels whether it be movies or games they have tried to fill the gap with flash and shock value moments rather than the classic writing and dialogue the series is known for - with some exceptions of course. The biggest problems they faced making this were their own past success and the inevitable hype that past success creates whenever they release a new game in the series.
mems must have used his 3 strikes up in this thread, lol. Actually, it's really funny that she decided to crawl out of OT on the eve of the new TOU.
