Recore definitive edition is launching August 29th, for $19.99 according to a leak from Xbox's website. It will have a new adventure, called Eye of Obsidian, and a fifth corebot, along with xbox one x support. It might be worth picking up now

I never had a chance to try ReCore when it first released but maybe I'll give this a go on PC when it launches. I was meaning to try it the first time around.

I don't know what a 'fifth corebot' means but I take it's good. :)

Yeah missed it last time but for that price I am going to pick it up for sure.

So what about the people who own the original release? This better not be some repurchasing bullshit.

HDR support too, I'm almost done with the game I'm curious if they'll patch the HDR support soon

Nah, there's too much underlying jank and cruddy gameplay for a Definitive Version to fix, even if this somehow fixes that terrible end.

Is it on Windows 7 now ?

Yeah I heard the people who bought the original is going to get the update for free.

The robot counterparts that assist you. They all have their own abilities.

yeah pretty much. Seth, Max and Duncan and their abilities were the best part of the game. Everything else is kinda meh.

I couldn't pull the trigger on buying this game but I did play the demo and it's not that bad at all. I'll wait until it goes under $20 or lower and maybe I'll get it. I think this may get added to GamePass or GwG later down the road, we'll see.

I might pick it up for the right price... I enjoyed the first couple of hours of the game when it launched, but it became a bit repetitive after a while so I returned it.

But this series has potential I think. If MS puts a little more time & money into a sequel and gives it some attention, it could become a decent IP for Xbox.

Nice. Didn't get around to picking this up the first time and I'm still interested in the game so I'm definitely going to pick this version up when it comes out.

I was curious about the game but when it launched, I was busy with other titles and never got around to it.

Not really, it's very generic for its genre. I got bored with it and never finished it.

1. One gun/weapon the entire game for Joul

2. Gameplay is tedious and gets boring. There's not much variety.

3. Environments are very bland and basic

4. Collect-a-thon throughout the whole game finding cores and if you don't have enough by a certain point in the game you'll have to go back and farm for them.

Overall the pacing was weak and weird and the game is not up there with others in its category. Which is a shame because I was excited for it since its initial reveal at E3 2015. Hoping somehow a sequel gets greenlit and it's a lot better and they can improve all the problems with the first game.

OH...another big complaint people had were the long load times after dying. They may have patched that by now though.

@jumpaction: I enjoyed the game overall, it's rough around the edges graphically in some areas but overall I thought the gameplay was fun and solid and my main gripe with it is that near the 2nd half of the game, you have to do more backtracking and the difficulty spikes up whereas near the beginning the game is on the easy side somewhat, for me anyways.

The combat is fun and is my favorite part of the game, nothing too complicated but you have to switch weapon types to fight certain enemies more efficiently and there is a tactical element with how you can command each dog to do different things, they each have their strengths and weaknesses, and you can only have 2 dogs at the same time so you have to select them carefully depending on the situation.

There is also a lot of platforming in some areas. It's difficult to describe the game because it has its moments and overall I really enjoyed it, but some aspects such as the platforming were not so great in some areas and it had its frustrating moments. I'm getting close to the end and will definitely finish it soon, it's a standout title for me because it is unique with its world and the dogs and the type of gameplay, but I don't think I would have paid full price for it and I'm glad I was able to get it a 30$.

I was disappointed in the reviews back then, I just forgot about ReCore until I saw this thread that is. I'll gladly pick up this edition on Windows 10 and hope this game is fun to play.

Was this really necessary? The game isn't good. But hey, if it's free for existing owners of the original, I'll download it.

The definite edition of mediocrity is still mediocrity so I'll pass.

@drlostrib: If it still has that jarring frame rate, and piss poor performance I'm not interested. I don't think they can fox the mediocre gameplay lol.

Played it for a bit and was pretty bored with it.

At least it's not Re-fried remakes.

Never bothered picking this up. Had my eye on it since the first trailers came out, then when the game launched it got trashed so I never bothered. The honest trailer was good for a laugh. Has it been *fixed? Is it worth a cut rate?

If it gets a W10 version at the same time, I may dip. $20 is cheap enough for me.

Really want to play this, especially after all of the patches and fixes.

Having a hard time committing to buying it though considering my ever growing backlog of games from all of the PC sales, not to mention finishing Horizon ZD, Heavy Rain and Beyond 2 Souls (PS4 versions, never finished them on PS3)

I'm glad you will have something to play this year man. Only $20 more to get a finished version of last year's game. After Crackdown 3 got delayed (and will inevitably be canned) I was worried you would have no games all year.

Thats the thing though, even if you write off the "shit" games, Sony still has at least 6-7 good-great exclusives this year.

Its one thing to have shit games, and another to have shit games among other great games.
