About The Game.

Red Dead Redemption is a Western epic, set at the turn of the 20th century when the lawless and chaotic badlands began to give way to the expanding reach of government and the spread of the Industrial Age. A follow up to the 2004 hit Red Dead Revolver, this game tells the story of former outlaw John Marston, taking players on a great adventure across the American frontier.

Red Dead Redemption features an open-world environment for players to explore, including frontier towns, rolling prairies teaming with wildlife, and perilous mountain passes - each packed with an endless flow of varied distractions. Along the way, players will experience the heat of gunfights and battles, meet a host of unique characters, struggle against the harshness of one of the world's last remaining wildernesses, and ultimately pick their own precarious path through an epic story about the death of the Wild West and the gunslingers that inhabited it.

Let's just hope it's better than the first one... it got pretty old halfway through the game.

Wild West games FTW. Personally, I'm looking forward to RDR more, because it's supposed to be 100% sandbox. Wild West sandbox game FTW.

Read Dead Redemption >>>> Call of Juraz: Bound In Blood

I don't know about you... But I didn't like the first Call of Juraz. Didn't feel like a western to me. Just a platforming shoot em up.

Read Dead on the other hand... This reminds me of Gun. Wide open and gritty western.

Wish LucasArtswould remake Outlaws. Outlaws >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> All western games.

Had me alot of fun shooting people with my leaver action.

A recent Gametrailers preview mentioned that the game would open up in a few sections, allowing you to explore, complete side-quests and buy weapons before continuing with the story.

But yeah, it'll be a story-driven linear game, and RDR will be sandbox. I'm personally looking forward to BiB more, but they'll both be good.

I've been ready and set for Red Dead Redemption since the first one. Although I'm afraid what that "redemption" might mean--as if Red had anything about himself he needs to redeem. That kinda crap is why I've stopped watching 24.

Call of Juarez 2 looks good I must admit. However, I noticed that it's going to include snippets about the Civil War, and if they end up making the game about denigrating the south and making them out to be a bunch of savage racist stereotypes, then I want nothing to do with it.

ROFL Wait.. really now? You're a Wii fanboy, and you think THOSE textures look terrible? They're actually pretty awesome if you take your fanboy goggles off and guess what... the Wii can't do them! :)

BTW, is Red Dead Dedemption going to control the same as GTAIV but just be western style? And what about like... wagon driving? Could you hijack a horse carridge? That would be sick as hell.

I don't really know. But, they are using the same engine as GTA IV so, it has alot of potential to make it realistic and all and yes, that could and would be sick as hell.
