Red Faction: Guerilla is actually pretty fun.

So today I played the demo...a couple times actually. The physics are really fun to play with and well done and the graphics are decent.

Before I downloaded it I knew right away that it would fail miserably but I was wrong.

Go give it a try if you haven't already.

yeah it's fun... a good 10 minutes of fun...

I didn't like it. Gunplay felt weak, cover system wasn't too great, destruction feels like window dressing after a few minutes, and it just felt disappointing all around.

It's okay, it's fun for a short period of time, but I couldn't play it for hours on end.

I absolutely agree about the controls, they are bad. And I am dissapointed that it isn't an FPS anymore. Red Faction 1 was one of my favorite last gen games. It blended in great gameplay with a good story.

Judging from what I'm hearing this isn't the Red Faction of old. It's kind of saddening. They pioneered FPS environment destructibility and it sucks that they joined the shooter party so late this gen.

I dont think anyone is going to care.

Oh yeah, and to those wondering, they decided to make it a Third Person shooter because they found that when testing the game, they would randomly die by getting hit by destructed objects that they could not see... I don't think making it in third person would've made a difference but alas, it's a TPS now.

It's embarrasing how these new gen games can't give the level of destructibility as Red Faction 1. It was pretty fun messing around with the tech and creating tunnels.

Yeah, just played it. It was a lot of fun but i don't see me being able to play it for more than 15 - 20 minutes.

Thats really a shame, i was really looking forward to this game looked pretty neat

I think i will just rent it though now.

I got board half way though...IMO....that's the worst kind of demo

I loved the demo. Simple as that.

It was cool,but the framerate suffered a lot when you were destroying a lot of things at the same time.

Like going with that 'walker' through a building.

it was amazing. anyone who says red faction 1 is better needs to go back and play it lol. it has more auto-aim than goldeneye.

bad controls? in what way? worked great for me, maybe you just need all that auto-aim becuase you are terrible at aiming.

if i'm not mistaken, this game is a free-roaming tps, and it's made by the same developers that made saints row. i wonder though if this game is directly made using assets from saints row, probably to save money, except that they added more destruction. correct me if i'm wrong though.

This game is uber fun. I did so many things in just the demo alone. I can't wait to destroy my way through this game.

First thing I'm doing is upgrading my explosive charges. Slapping 4 on the tires of my vehicle and ramming it into the side of a building... Exploding it into a heavenly fire ball.
