The Red Faction demo came out quite some time ago, what did everyone think? Personally, I found it to be extremely cool with the destructable environments and really good combat.

Already been a thread about this but that was before the Demo became public. So i'll let it slide :P
It's a must buy to me its a great game and the idea of the controlling areas just makes me smile with joy. The demo was great had some good explosions and once I got in the walker and broke through the hanger door to see like 50 troops and armor. I got this huge smile on my face and said to my self... Its party time and began to throw stuff in every direction... It was awesome.
It was crazy fun. Am I the only one who didn't even use the cover mechanic? I completely forgot it was there the entire demo. Even on hard mode, I went on a killing spree and took out like 15 guys, yet I didn't use it. That's my only complaint, the game feels a little too easy.
loved it on my ps3, i havn't gotten to my friend's house to see if they're the same on both yet, but MAN! i just loved crushing the big trailer trucks into the buildings, when i got bored i started leading my enemies into the top floor, smashing out a window and jumping out, so they won't follow and they stay up there to snipe, then getting a truck and crushing the building so they all fall to their death. it's awesome.
you couldve also thrown the bomb things up there and just blew the whole place up! ......i think the crushing the building thins was a better touch though ;)loved it on my ps3, i havn't gotten to my friend's house to see if they're the same on both yet, but MAN! i just loved crushing the big trailer trucks into the buildings, when i got bored i started leading my enemies into the top floor, smashing out a window and jumping out, so they won't follow and they stay up there to snipe, then getting a truck and crushing the building so they all fall to their death. it's awesome.

I thought it had a really janky feel to it. But I did get a chuckle out of running through a building in that mech like thing. I wouldn't buy it, but I'm thinking of renting it. The demo had the feel of what could be a decent game, but it isn't fully cooked yet and they probably aren't going to fix it's problems by the time it gets released.
I really liked the demo, its destructibility is unmatched.I liked it. The new geo-mod is very impressive!

Yeah I felt the same way but wasn't Saints Row 2 like that? Extremely easy but extremely fun, Volition's style of making games I guess..It was crazy fun. [QUOTE="ahhahahaahhhaah"]radars shouldnt be in shooters either.toast_burnerYou want a open world game with out a map!? :? i dont even notice the radar is there really in crysis. or the map is there one? it's not really open world, the levels are pretty big but not like grand theft auto big. a map would take away the level exploration aspect.
you can destroy EVERYTHING!!!, EVERYTHING!!!!!! you can drive through buildings, hammer through walls, smack people senseless with that Thor's hammer. the chase scenes.....EVERYTHING WAS FRIGGIN AWESOME! i WILL be buying this game day one...slvrraven9ehh...not everything. Can you make tunnels?? NO!! And what is gonna happen online?? I'll tell you what's gonna happen, after about 10 seconds every building and distructable items is gonna be destroyed. And why is it so cool that you can use your hammer through everything?? Is that realistic? They forgot the physics engine somewhere a long the dev time.
