Has has any1 else noticed after E3 no1 seems to care about Wii-U? Alot of 3DS and Vita talk but i've not seen a Wii-U thread in months.
This topic is locked from further discussion.
No games or particular features have been announced. It's not really something to consider until next year.
The 3DS is already out, the Vita is imminent. We have games to discuss and features that we're aware of. It's hardly surprising that people aren't talking up a system that we know basically nothing about over a year before its release. After next year's E3 discussions will be in full swing.
The 3DS is out and the Vita is getting new features and games announced. We haven't heard a damn thing about the WiiU since E3.
The lack of information about the Wii U is the reason no one is talking about it. Next year will be different.
I'm sensing this system gets a MAJOR overhaul.

I'm thinking this, as well... or at least hoping it. The response was fairly negative with consumers, and even mixed with developers. That really is not a good sign at all.
By the time the "Wii-U" launches next year, the architecture and hardware powering will be already a generation behind. Give it 1-2 years, and new behemoths will rise from both Sony and Microsoft only further stagnating the already dated hardware currently announced for the system. Is an LCD touch-screen on a controller going to tide everyone over for the next 5-6 years Nintendo?Give it time.
By this date next year, SW will be flooded with Wii U topics, most likely comparing the graphics to PS3/360. I look forward to it.

I don't judge consoles solely on power, but by software. In that regard, I find the Wii stronger than both PS3 and 360, though if you take into account the PSN games, PS3 tops Wii.
And I can be pretty certain whatever Nintendo puts out for Wii U will still top whatever Sony and Microsoft put out for their next gen consoles.
Vaporeware confirmed?MonsieurX
I wouldn't be surprised. I wonder if Nintendo fired a bunch of their game designers, or something to that effect. I'm not saying they don't output good games, but they seem to be relying on remakes of old classics.
Ocarina of Time HD 3D, confirmed.
There isn't much to talk about really. Maybe if they released specs, then there would be more to talk about.
I really hope its getting a major overhaul
That controller was ridiculous... I am all for a screen on the controller like something on the dreamcast but JESUS 6 inches is way too big... And only letting you have one controller per console is the dumbest thing I've ever heard... All it is going to lead to is fighting over who gets the cool new controller and who has to play with the crappy old wiimotes... You want EVERYONE who is playing to enjoy the new experiences... I mean stuff like that would kill casual appeal right away.
And trying to make it a tablet with photo sharing and stuff to have casual appeal is also stupid... Nintendo shouldn't **** with apple... They can't out ipad an ipad especially with a low resolution resistive touch screen
Sliderpads for shooters would be a disaster.. Watching people play that Alien monster from space game was painful.. He could never seem to get the reticule where he needed it to be efficiently enough.
I think a 3 or 4 inch screen would do the job just fine.. It ads some innovation without making the controller completely unweildy
We're not worthy of talking about such awesome games? :3You know, if we had more, I don't know, news, then there will be more talk.
How come games like Skyward Sword and AC Revelations, while hyped, aren't getting much talk in SW?

Couldn't you say the same for the next Sony/MS console compared to the pc. It won't be too far behind at first but tech is always advancing.
I believe in the Wii U. I just hope they don't make the mistake of one U controller per console and forcing everyone else to use Wiimotes.
i hope nintendo does not drop the ball this time. I loved the wii but its thanks to nintendos games. I want to see some real block busters on the wii u like re 6 and gta v and so on. I dont care if wii u is a power house but i want it to hold up to ps4.
Well Kojima is making something for the Wii U.If MGS games come out on Wii U, then I will feel no remorse when I buy one.

Why? Its a normal controler with extra features on it. The screen on it is great it adds another way to play. Having 2 screens could be great for gaming.
the wii mote is a great controller
How do you know it will be bad? People have been loving it so far. touch screen could be used for fps which would be great.

We already know what two screens is like. One screen is the map screen. Whoopee.
The Wiimote **** sucks.
I don't think touch screen is going to be used for the shooter controls. That would be bad. What they will do is let you use the screen as the gun sights. Sort of like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JXjDSvXZrY

Touch screen is worse than using a trackpad on a laptop for FPS.

I hate to break it to you, but DS touch controls are not the gold standard for shooter gameplay. I think the Wii U will handle shooters just fine, but they'll do it in the way that they showed off in their E3 demo. Use the screen as your gun sights. I've heard good things about this kind of control on the 3DS, but no word yet if it can replace Dual Analog or even Mouse.
Supposedly Wii U's CPU is like a more powerful and far more developer friendly version of the PS3 Cell processor(meaning shorter development cycles) and the GPU is something like 2.5-3x more powerful than the X360 GPU. Come on, I want to see all its games look like Uncharted 3, at least until PS4 and X720 come out a 1.5-2 years later :P

It's a Power 7 CPU, so it's closer to the Xbox's CPU than the Cell.
We didn't have much to talk about when Wii(or the case for one), was shown off a E3 2005. So, we definitely saw more of what Wii U could do on day 1 than with the original Wii. But that doesn't mean that we necessarily know much about the system. When Nintendo finalizes the hardware and we get to see some real games, then there will be more threads/news on it.
