REPORT: Hideo Kojima working on "massive" PS3 exclusive.

If CVG's "senior US publishing source" is right, the supposed PlayStation 3 exclusive will "own the show" in Tokyo and that it was almost ready for a showing at E3. Seems like curious timing, as an announcement of another Kojima Productions game could steal the thunder from Metal Gear Solid: Rising and that the age of console exclusivity seems to be behind us.

Why does he have an affiliation with Sony? And Microsoft is the only company that pays for 3rd party exclusives, yeah...Salt_The_Fries

Paying for the development and exclusive publishing of an external developer is basically considered second party, which all three companies do.

I can't think of third party (timed) exclusivity right now beyond the GTA Episodes; but then I'm sure the big 3 all do it. Microsoft just has the most money to spend though.

Recently Kojima had a live stream Q&A and it seems a game called "Project Taboo" is up next.

Intriguing...is it due for 2010?

My money is on the "Taboo" project. He made a mention a while back about CoD4 MW2 making him want to make a new videogame. I'm expecting something very gritty this time around, possibly a new IP.

I would not be surprised if it's a move-based or move-compatible title. Kojima had been saying for a long time that his ideal system would be a PS3 with a Wiimote-like interface, and now he has that.Timstuff

Glad I have a PS3 for this!

I would think it'd be a MGS IV remake of some sort, or repackaging with extra missions, trophies, some other stuff maybe. Hopefully, a much more user friendly online system, as the online had promise, but I could never get into it due to all the red tape.
