I'm not a developer so I can't comment on much, but all i know is ps3 sound is light years ahead of 360.

No. It's called GTA4 because VC and SA weren't actual progressed GTA games. It's been explained in an article/magazine to me before, but even without that, wouldn't it be kind of obvious given the next GTA is GTA4?

Actually, we're at gta 6 as the nextgame. gta vice city was 4, gta san andreas was 5. GTA 7 is the next next game, probably for late 2009 or something.osirisomeomi

THIS IS FAR FROM TRUE, I'VE READ THAT QUOTE FROM OXM. The quote is even completely twisted. It was oxm being sarcastic and making fun at sony for not securing GTA4 as exclusive. The ACTUAL quote was along the lines of: (being presented from a sony official) "Oops, we slipped up on getting GTA4, so be better hand Rockstar/T2 a blank check for the next installment!" That's not exactly how it was, but it was completely making fun of sony, and not true at all.

SA and VC were stand alone games, but weren't really considered sequals, but more like side-stories, or expansions. GTA4 (which should be obvious, because it's gta4, not gta7... stupid) is the sequal to GTA3. NOT VC or SA, which would make GTA7 a LONG, LONG ways off.
