After watching a lot of video's its seems Capcom have gone against, what there very first video of RE5 suggested, fast running enemies, the latest vids show it, but all seem to stop when they approach closer to chris, and play out like RE4's infected villages.

Untless difficulty is turned down, so impressions of the game can show it off better, i think capcom should address this and make them more vicious and harder. Have them run up to you full on and attack, grab you, (have one of those things grab you while the other trys to infect you with the virus, would be sweet)

Now actually thinking long and hard about it, Capcom should add the option to walk and shoot, similar to dead space, it can still keep tention and make things even difficult (expeically if the A.I is better). Its more realistic, IMO.

I just can't help but worry that reviews will jump all over the game, because you can't move and shoot. Considering the many similar mechanic titles out there do it and it really works. (you know how picky some get)

all in all, RE5 is my most anticipated title, but the infected people seem slow and predictable, obviously, the game will have many more creatures/enemies that are vicuous and hard, but my main concern is with these people.

thoughts?

With the amount of people on the screen and the slowness of controllers.. I don't think it would work out well for everyone. Which is what capcom is trying to avoid I think.

Haha, agreed. Seriously, the A.I. of Sheva is rudimentary and atrocious. It needs complete re-work. That video with caves self-owned itself. I'm not really interested in putting myself into a perspective from which I'd tell what RE5 needs to improve, because in my opinion, it should have been done differently from the scratch.

I agree with everything you said (except the low review part), but is there any way to let capcom know, it obvious that these changes are wanted by many people.

I think im one of the few who looks past RE5's amazing graphics and say that the game (from trailers and such) looks bad. Ive been a huge RE fan since the first one and everytime somethings new is revealed i dislike the game even more. Aside from even the comments that you pointed out (which i agree with) the game just looks like a generic shooter now, it looks like the rest of the crowd. Its a shame but RE without a doubt lost its roots.

I don't think that having that many enemies moving that fast, and being that aggressive would work. Way too difficult to manage that, unless they made you godly, and I'd rather not have that at all.

I didn't mean all run at you fast at the same time, but 1 or 2, while the rest try and corner you etc. Just make them look more aggressive, and while thats done..make chris move, to balance things, when shooting.

Might take a look at the Capcom forums, i hear they read the comments..worth a shot.

that slowness could solved in resident evil 4 1/2 by using a mouse or IR pointer. this game doesn't even scream nex gen to me. and why have 100 ppl on screen if their as dumb as the ganadoes in RE4?

What they need to do is actually make it a horror/scary game again.

come on, RE4 was more freaky than the old ones....unless you really found errie music and dark rooms scary.

RE4 had much more intense and horrofic enemies. to be honest, RE was never scary to begin with...just more survival horror. Not the silent hill type.

RE4/5 is still a HORROR game, due to the atomosphere and more importantly enemies. etc.

Sprinting zombies may be a bit dfficult given the clunky feeling of the controls (not a bad thing).

though playing on higher difficulties should increase their speed, that would be intenese.

RE4 had some really scary moments IMO.

It did have a few, but they have turned it more into an action game. I love how the first couple games didn't have ammo scattered throughout the whole game which prevented us from going all John Rambo on the zombies. It takes away from the atmosphere and feel of the game.

But RE4 was still amazing lol.
