Resident Evil 5

With versions hitting both the Xbox 360 and PS3, any thoughts on if Capcom will provide exclusive content for each version?

AND, with the quality of the graphics Gamecube produced with RE4 ( Easily could contend with most current titles ), how crazy are the visuals gonna be for RE5? :D

BTW, this is the next gen experience I'm waiting 4 the most. I love MGS, Halo3 will be great but for me its all about RE.

Hope they add co-op like geow then re5 will be the best game ever

Man I wish they would release some info or new screenshots or something, it's one of my most anticipated games.  It's gonna be one of the best-looking games too I bet

Mainly because i prefer the PS controller for such a game..expecially if it still with the same gamplay as RE4...aswell as the extra Bluray space....and because RE is more of a PS game. Since it originally started on it.

RE5 won't be anywhere near as good as RE4.

Probably since Shinji Mikami is out...he was a big part of RE4 and its changes. Shame really. Something about RE4 made is so good, Still the best game out there, IMO. It started a whole new gameplay style made for shooters and added the use of awesome interactive cutscenes along with an awesome storyline. Hopefully RE5 sticks to what made RE4 so good. Tho i did here that the devs want to go back to some original stuff...but keep that similar gameplay.

No it didn't.

lol relax, didn't say it did...did i?? Would of been great to take advantage of it tho and its nice to have it all on one disk. think MGS4. If it were exclusive i bet they would of done just that. like i said, its my opinion.  

It's a matter of preference....I actually liked the Gamecube version best overall. The graphics were smoother than the PS2 update, and I loved the GC controllers...except for that little purple z button that felt out of place.

I've heard rumors that RE5 will include both traditional zombies and the parasite infected people of RE4. Could be a cool combination, it would explain why the zombies in the trailer move so damn FAST!

I also heard Mikami-san left because Capcom went against his wishes by making RE4 multi-plat. His original intent was GC only, I even remember an interview where Mikami said he'd "cut his own head off if its ever ported to another system"

I'm glad Shinjis not doing RE5 if anything it would go back to the way the old games were(less ammo, better enemies, RE4 Camera is still in though, scarier like darkness and things popping out off nowhere) and they would go back to the old RE story again.

Not true at all Capcom actually does good multiplat games on there big budget titles so expect high quality from DMC 4 and RE5 i do think RE5 will set the bar really high the game wont even be released this year and its been in development since 2005 its also using a custome engine.

That trailer they showed was kind of confusing. Are they basing the third RE movie on the plot of the fifth game? It kind of looked like that game trailer was set in a desert. God help us all if thats the case.

that would be great but i doubt it they will probly change what re4 did somewhat but mostly it will be like that which imo SUCKS i hate people who say re4 was the best resident evil it sucked compared to 1,2,3 and even code veronica dont even mention 0 that one sucked.

Supposedly the setting of RE5 is in the middle East, at least that's what was reported by EGM. Capcom also stated the environment will be a factor, like in Lost Planet. You'll have to fight the desert climate (heat, sand) as well as fight the hordes of zombies.

I LOVED RE2....plot-wise I think it was the best Resident Evil. It also had great weapons, enemies, cutscenes. I just cant go back to the stationary camera, the over-the-shoulder style of RE4 is so much better.

I think itll better GoW, by a long way. I think it will set the mark in terms of visuals..RE games have always done so.VinnoT

doubtful, given capcoms fixed camera angles with this series itll be unlikely to garner as much of a mainsteam following as GoW. GoW also had something else I cant quite put my finger on. I highly doubt it will best GoW the only games that i can say getting near GoW or better would be GTA IV and Halo 3.

I'm really excited for the game too, but I don't think each version will have something the other dosen't, because that might not be fair. If anything, The Xbox 360 version might get things off the marketplace like avatars and stuff. GunnerVIII
