So many suckers and fools will buy BC for the RE5 demo....
and I will be one of them :?
Hopefully BC wont suck. I remember buying DQ8 for the FF12 demo and actually liked DQ8 more than FF12
Too bad the FFXIII demo comes bundled with FF7:AC. I already know that movie sucks.
But Zone of Enders was actually cool. I hope they make a 3rd one.rogerjak
ZOE pwns. anyway I think I might have to get this :( unles they release the demo on psn or live
So you have to buy a crappy game to play a demo of a great game :?
This is crackdown all over again :(
Thats kinda gay I mean BC looks decent but I don't really want to buy the game for the RE5 demo....:( I mean I never excepted Capcom to pull this off but what the hey, looks like I'll have to buy it as I cant turn that down ;)
Just like the whole ZOE/MGS2 fiasco all over again lol.

I know i might be a sucker as well
Well it now may be worth a rental :D.Stoner-PimpWould the demo be on the disc, or a whole nother disc completely?
Don't know why people think Bionic Commando is going to be crap. It looks good from the trailers I've seen. And this is Capcom, even there so called bad games like Lost Planet aren't that bad. I wouldn't buy a game for a demo, games cost to much for that. But I'll probably pick up this game anyway as it's Capcom, I enjoy 99% of their stuff.

It better be on the same one as i ain't buying a full game to play a demo (unless the full game is good or something - in which case it's win win).
Anyone else think reviews will jump all over the game due to not being able to move and shoot? It doens't bother me, but knowing the ammount of titles out there with SIMILAR mechanics, i'm betting reviewers will feel the need to address it and even lower the score.
If they do, they need to keep in mind that RE5 isn't a full blown action title, but a horror one, enemies aren't people with guns. Like capcom said, the stop and shoot gameplay, keeps tention.Â
I'm betting people'll be buying the game just for the demo now, like what happened when Zone Of The Enders included the MGS2 demo. Silent-Haljust like halo 3, but wouldn't it make more sense just to release a live/psn demo?
nope, not even for a moment, reviewers know its the traditional RE gameplay style, but the controls have changed but thankfully not too drastically and they still retain the core gameplayAnyone else think reviews will jump all over the game due to not being able to move and shoot? Yes, I think reviewers will jump on Resident Evil 5 becasue of not being able to move and shoot at the same time.
Personally I feel the reviewers should jump on the game for this mechanic. It's unrealistic and silly.
If capcom truly wants to perserve tension they should include the run and shoot mechanic. Greatly lower the amount of bullets the player recieves/ has. Forcing the player to conserve their ammunition. Make the AI more intelligent and aggressive. And the tension would still be perserved.

then its no different than the other hundreds of shooters on the market, believe me when I first found out that you couldn't move and shoot in RE4 I thought it would never work, but when you play the game its barly an issue.then its no different than the other hundreds of shooters on the market, believe me when I first found out that you couldn't move and shoot in RE4 I thought it would never work, but when you play the game its barly an issue.-Mad_Rhetoric-
I'm not sure if you understood what I was trying to say. If they improved the AI and made them enemies more intelligent and agressive. And included the run shoot mechanic, yet made ammunition and health very rare or scarce the survival-horrror tension would sill be retained.

Including a run and shoot mechanic. While making ammunition and health very rare. And making the AI more intelligent and agressive.
How would this not preserve a survival- horror tension?

I don't see what the problem would be in preserving survival-horror tension.
they could have easily have two control scemes - "traditional"(self explanitory) and "shooter"(where you could run and shoot)That way everyones happy.
I don't know why they wouldn't do it.

I think adding WALK AND SHOOT, is good enough...not to extreme and still keeps tention...ala, DEAD SPACE.Â

thats pretty stupid, there should only be one core gameplay, not 2. and everyone will pic the shooting and moving type anyways. I think what they should do is beef up the enemys and like the other guy said, make them more aggressive...have then run at you full on and attack, not stop half way. that way you can move and shoot.Â

Um, ZOE was a great game...people bought it to play it.
Should have said something like Crackdown with Halo 3. Thats a more appropriate analogy.Â
