Pretty funny if you ask me as both sound underwhelming as bonus content and very little if nothing to brag about.

My guess is that this game will be one of those that will be compared like few other games when it arrives on 360 & PS3.

Better version ?

Resident Evil 5 platform exclusives revealed screenshot

With a vast majority of this year's heavy hitters out on store shelves, we must now make sure to completely overhype everything 2009 has to offer. Let's get cracking then, and talk about the platform exclusive offers that will be coming with Resident Evil 5.

Yes, each version of RE5will have something a little different to offer customers. The PlayStation 3 version is packing a "making of" feature, which comes courtesy of folk from Hollywood to give it that professional air. On the Xbox 360, however, fans can enjoy a metal case and a soundtrack CD titled The Biohazard 5 Selection Track. Snazzy.

The main difference here is that the 360 version only gets its extra stuff as part of a limited Deluxe Edition, whereas the PS3 extra ships on the game disc itself.

Quite why these are exclusives is beyond me. They seem like pretty weird choices, but I suppose Capcom knows what it's doing. Which looks like the better deal to you?

I go for 360 because you can just view the Making Of feature and get over it.

I guess they're hoping that the die-hard fans will have to buy both...but since there aren't any in-game additions, what's the point? Youtube!

I've been playin resident evil since 1998 on PS1, so i'm probably gonna go with that due to controls, but IF DMC4 is any indication of how it will turn out, it'll all come down to what game has is brighter or darker and a controller prefrence

How so, if you buy the 360 version, you get a Sound Track CD but also an attractive metal box. On top of that, you can just go watch the Making Of on Youtube or something and forget about it

Well for me I don't listen to video game soundtracks.  Also, it's a box man, a box.  A.  Box.

You're paying extra for it too since it's only with the deluxe edition.

re5

"Capcom also revealed a special Limited Edition version of the game (pictured), which comes in an even fancier box, packing a 2GB USB memory stick, a 32-page art book, and a waist pouch that resembles one used in the game."

The memory stick looks like some kind of vaccine item from the game, apparently.

They just want to make a bigger profit from 360 owners while pretending not to screw PS3 gamers. Funny how I bought PS1 in 1998 with Resident Evil 2, and now I'm not PS owner of any kind anymore, and I have no interest in this game whatsoever.

Right so we should stop buying the real deal because a pirated version burnt onto disc is the same thing:| I mean its like downloading Superman Issue #1, printing on similar paper and calling it the real deal, it isnt, no way

well Seeing it this way, I have a friend who has been playing the series with me for as long as I have and has a ps3 only, so i'll probably get it on PS3 to play co-op with him at some point, and then i have another friend who has a 360 only and we love playing co-op games together, so when the price hits extremely low for 360 i'll get it for that as well, that and I am a Die hard fan of the series, my fav of all time

Yes it is because you still get the info. And who said you have to watch a low quality vid. Somebody can upload a high quality loss-less feed:|

Let me get this straight.

Capcom is forcing Xbox 360 owners to get the Limited Edition version of the game to get the platform exclusive content? Lame. I'll be getting the regular version (if any at all) when it comes out.

well, that's a good reason to buy it a second time. To play the game with friends. (though it not something I would do) To buy a game twice just for some extra's is not something you see every day:P

ya its really weird when two of your closest friends own a PS3 and the other 1 owns a 360, so i gotta spread the love both ways because I own both

Also the second time I buy it, it will be for only a major price reduction nothing over 30 dollars

Meh...... Just another Capcom tactic to make RE diehardfan to buy both PS3 & 360 version and that means more $$$$ to them by fooling RE series rabid fans.

Anyway each content for both PS3 & 360 is useless............... I can watch the "the making of" video via youtube. And I can download RE5 soundtrack from the internet. And metal case is also useless. well at least for me...............

Only the limited edition caught my attention. But if only I have enough money. But although I have enough money the chance to get limited edition is slim at best..........

yeah but seriously? Resident evil soundtrack? Not to hate on Capcom, but resident evil music is pretty forgettable :? As for a metal case, I dont display my game, so the case is irrelavent. I would rather just get the "Making off" videos, as those are pretty interesting at times. Now if this were MGS or Zelda, then I would obviously think the soundtrack is a far better deal :D

Just make the same game for both machines. Do they think we're stupid enough to get two copies of the same game just to get all the extra stuff?

Nothing to brag about indeed. They could have at least put in exclusive costumes, if there are any that can be unlocked.
