Looks hideous on the iPhone.

Iphone definitely has better looking games though.

Which iphone? I remember everybody saying how great RAGE and Infinity Blade looked even on the 3GS and low-and-behold, once I buy them they look like crap. Not exactly crap, but the proper words here would be disappointing and overated. Apparently it was iPhone 4 that these games looked stellar on.

Rage looks decent, but Infinity Blade looks down right impressive on the iPhone 4 I played it on. Idk what you were expecting, it looked (technically) better than anything/almost anything running on the DS and maybe PSP.

I don't think developers are obliged to create 3D games. I doubt that since DS has many 2D successes.

I don't think developers are obliged to create 3D games. I doubt that since DS has many 2D successes.

I think he means with 3D effects. Every game should be using those.

The 3DS is a gaming machine.

The iPhone is a machine that also does some gaming. No serious gamer would game solely on the iPhone.

(btw the iPhone version does look like crap)

serious gamers can work with the iphone, I mean its starting to work with unreal engine, theres potential. However the 3ds versionn looks AMAZING

Rage looks decent, but Infinity Blade looks down right impressive on the iPhone 4 I played it on. Idk what you were expecting, it looked (technically) better than anything/almost anything running on the DS and maybe PSP.

I wasn't expecting an on-rails experience. It just has really nice texture work. I'm still more impressed by playing God of War: Ghost of Sparta on the PSP than RAGE/Infinity Blade. DSE looks really good for a Wii game but its on-rails. I think RE: Darkside Chronicles looks stellar for a Wii game but its also on-rails.

I have the latest iPod Touch, and I bought Infinity Blade. It's a borefest. A pretty borefest, but a borefest nonetheless. I don't feel like my money was well-spent at all. The iPhone/iPod is limited by hardware and controls, it will never fulfill any gamer worthy of that name. It does shine in casual/semi-casual gaming, however. Angry Birds is very addictive.

The graphics are much better on the 3DS version. But honestly they both look much better on their native screens(iPhone and 3DS screens). Besides the gameplay will be better on the 3DS. You have buttons and touch controls.

I always hesitate to say which version is better because there are more factors than what's included in screenshots. How big are the environments? How open are the environments? How many enemies can fit on the screen? Framerate? Is Uncharted really more technically impressive than Fallout 3?
