Resident Evil Village feels like RE4 but first person(and shinier)

NGL, I've never seen much trailers excluding the initial one, but man, this trailer just shows how similar some stuff are from RE4 to RE8. I think I wanna skip RE8 now.

This might be first PS5 game it looks great.

Looks great. I still wish that it was in a third person perspective but I am very much looking forward to playing this game.

The first game of the year (and possibly the last) that i am really excited about. I just hope that its a long game and not the RE2R crap.

I hated RE4, this one looks loads better. I wasn't planning on getting it personally, I somewhat enjoyed RE7 but it didn't make me want more. Also that FOV in the video 🤢🤮.

I can't wait to play it, but I'm iffy as hell on a hunting system being in the game. It's an overused mechanic and MAN I hope it's not a drain on the ammo you already need to conserve like crazy.

For the racing fan with an unspeakable hate for all FPS games. But not for everyone else.

I've noticed a thing with you buying lots of games that you never play. That's also pretty weird.

I don't hate first person, i just dislike it, kills all immersion for me, and is limits gameplay when compared to third person.

As for having lots of games i haven't played, that's an over exaggeration by you, unless you want to name these LOTS of games? here i will help you to get you started, Monster Hunter, Witcher 3, RE 6 & Andromeda, care to name the remainder that equate to lots, floors yours.

I also work 6 days, and have kids, so my gaming time is limited. And 3/4 games i mentioned are 100hrs+ games.

@i_p_daily: Yeah, I've just seen you say that a few times lately and assumed you had more instances like that. To take time and search your post history to try to find more games that you've mentioned would be retarded, so I'd rather not. I remember you mentioned Diablo 3 as well, though.

I get that FPS ruins your immersion. Still find it weird though. But calling FPS shit because you can't get immersed is also weird. I can't get immersed by sim racing games, but I don't call them shit in every thread about racing games.

It's good that Resi switched to first person. It's just way more immersive.

Oh I_P has no time for games because he works 6 days a week and have kids, but find plenty of time to spam on SW 😎

Not sure how I feel about hunting in a Resi game. Could turn into a real chore. Overall the game does resemble RE4, especially the environments and increased focus on gunplay.

RE8 looks really good. Hopefully we get a vr announcement soon.

I'm also super excited for RE8 myself since its announcement and this is coming from someone who like RE7 when it went first-person that adds immersion. Already pre-order the game...half price of course ;)

Edit: What made you stop playing Resident Evil? If its because of Resident Evil 5/6 I can understand.

First person save RE franchise otherwise it would be as bad as RE6.

I said i bought Diablo to play with a friend because he wanted to play co-op, and we haven't talked about it since i bought it, and if you don't want to search my post history, then don't make stupid comments.

Its pretty simple really, if there is a genre, a mode, a viewpoint etc you don't like you're not going to play it, and you think that's weird, now you're being weird.

Other games to play, and first person removes immersion for me, i mean look at the trailer where the Zombie? grabs the screen and shakes it while pretending to bite you, talk about breaking the immersion with cheap moments.

No, I think it's weird to continously call FPS shit, when it's really you who don't like them because you can't feel immersed in a first person view. And I think it's weird to have your immersion completely break because of a first person perspective, since I can be immersed by pretty much everything myself. And so can everyone I know who plays games. I just find games that try to simulate reality too much slow and boring.

As soon as you learn a game is in first person, it's automatically shit. And you've mentioned this on quite a few occasions. And you say you don't hate FPSs. Which would imply you're just mostly trolling, judging by how shit you obviously think FPSs are. And you also deny that you troll as well.
