They need to stop BSing and mention that their 4k is faux4k and it won't run at a stable 60fps.

Not too sure what this 45fps is doing on the list lol. Since when are the frames locked to 45? Never, so why is it even there? If they're referring to unlocked frames, then maybe they should say so instead of mentioning the highest fps you will be able to achieve in that mode, which will never be stable.

PC version, around 120 fps. You can have the pleb versions.

Also, how about the fact that PS4 Pro has parity with Xbox One X?

I don't know yet if I'll buy the game, but if I do it will most likely be about a year from now on Xbox Series X.

Didn't they said months ago that the ps5 version wasn't native 4K?

Developers love to talk out their asses to sell a game just like Sony and Microsoft have talked out of theirs to sell hardware. I'll wait for the actual benchmarks to see the reality of what the title is able to deliver. Taking Capcom's word for it without anything to corroborate it at this point is just spreading rumor.

Maybe my eyes are starting to go. While I can easily see the difference of 4K, I can't really see much difference in 30fps vs 60fps. The way so many of you hyped it up, I expected the second coming of Jesus. I simply don't see a big enough difference to care.

I'm actually ok with solid 30fps. I find in many cases I don't have a problem with it at all, or I even prefer it. Sometimes 60fps makes things look too cartoony.

Good thing I'm getting RE8 on PC for the full benefits but glad at least the updated consoles are targeting higher framerates so that's a plus for console gamers.

@SolidGame_basic: To be clear, anything below 30fps is very noticeable, but a solid 30 is good enough that I don't see the difference going up to 60fps.

Funny thing is, moving from 60fps to 144hz is extremely noticeable it's hard to go back to 60fps for most parts. But still, 60fps is still the goat.

Edit: To be clear, as long as 30fps stays locked and using motion blur to mask 30fps, you'll be just fine...but 60fps can make any game better.

Any game with a fast-moving camera, 60 FPS will be objectively better. People who say 30 FPS doesn't feel much better than 60 FPS is clearly playing a slow-paced game.

There's a huge difference between 30 fps and 60 fps. By comparison 30 fps is kinda like stuttering and 60 fps is silky smooth.

These days, I'm honestly disgusted to be part of the human species. So a comparison video on YouTube holds no water with me.

2. As an example, I've been playing the Destiny series at regular HD at 30fps since it first released on PS4. The upgrade on PS5 at 4k 60fps... I only saw a difference in textures. The 30fps to 60fps wasn't noticed at all.

I find that extremely hard to believe - but good on you if so, because it does mean you'll be less irked by a lot of games

You have to train yourself to detect the difference. If you are accustom with 30FPS, the jump to 60FPS is marginal. If you start playing all of your games at 60FPS and return to 30FPS, the difference is no longer marginal. The timings for your response from 30FPS to 60FPS remains intact because the game responds as expected, however when you do the reverse, the timings for your response are noticeably off because your brain anticipates a response within a certain time and it lags. Because our brain is adaptable, after an extended amount of play time, you just grow accustom to the new framerate. A consistent framerate is the most important because you brain can easily adapt and predict responses and response times with the game. But this maybe stuff you already now.

I find that my eyes adjust to both 30fps and 60fps. If I've been playin a lot of 60fps games recently and I switch to 30fps, I'll notice it, but then my eyes adjust and it's fine.

Well if you don't care to do the "experiment" yourself you'd have to take my word for it. Even if slightly doctored I find this kind of comparison still at the least somewhat accurate as to what the difference between 30fps and 60fps is like. I can attest my personal experience to that and as Pedro said above me, once you go 60fps you'll find it hard to go back to 30fps since your eyes (and brain) would be used to the higher framerate.

But it's certainly very possible to go back to 30fps and enjoy the game nonetheless which also has been my case many times. Though I always find myself preferring a stable 60 fps to a higher resolution.

I think its overblown. Personally if you on console some games runs at 60fps and others at 30fps. You just gets used to it, dont care and enjoy your game.

As far as i understand, the game has a open world'ish design. So unless you're pretty the W key and tunnel vision the main story, i am sure this one will offer much more hours than all previous RE games.

Remember those "the ps5 is rtx2080/rtx2070super equivalent"? Where its at? Who plays in 1080p on such hardware? Only those who want to achieve 144fps+. Are you getting those frames on the PS5? Nope.
