RESISTANCE 2 vs. GOW2 >>>>>>>>>>VOTE !!!!

Im definatley sure after the reading the ign article that Resistance 2 will score slightly higher than GOW2 im guesing gears2 will get a 9.3 or 9.4 respectively.

But while Resistance 2 will have the higher score Gears 2 will have way higher sales.

I don't know why you are comparing GOW 2 to Resistance though, I mean GOW 3 is coming next year.

I realize that Resistance 2 has multiplayer, but GOW and GOW2 are just too great single player wise. The whole Greek History, meeting and defeating the actual God of War, then becoming God of War through Kratos. is great.

Also, Kratos Sackboy is in LBP!

GOW > GeoW > Resistance.

God of War is awesome! I need to replay the first two. I'm surprised I haven't already. I really love pulling off cool moves and such. I also like playing the game on lower difficulties because I just feel so damn powerful that way. Plus, God of War isn't really all about the gameplay. I just like to get to those cool mini game sequences. It really is a button masher at heart, but it does a damn good job at being one.

I need to play these games again! Right after Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3.

R2 will score higher on Metacritic, however gamspot will give Gears higher. Mark my words on this gamespot would not dare let playstation win this battle.

Yeah, GoW does a really good job of making the user feel really powerful, it also has Zeldaish puzzles in it, to balance out the battling. GOW2 I was worried about since Jaffe was only producing, but it turned out just as awesome.

As a side note, I don't know if you know this, but Konami's Kojima, and Nintendo's Miyamoto liked the original God Of War a few E3's back. They said it had a Japanese meets Western Gameplay design, and were impressed.

You are about to have a ton of fun with the MGS2 and MGS3.

If you can, get MGS2:SUBstance for PS2 (Avoid the Xbox Port at all costs, besides you get more stuff and better framerate, controls), and MGS3 : Subsistance also for PS2.(It's exclusive).

Dude, God of War and God Of War II are greatest Hits titles, so you could play both for less than $30. Go for it, GOW3 is ont he way.

It absolutely does, especially at the beginning of both games. The introduction in both the first and second one have to be some of the best segments I've ever played, especially the cinematic boss battles. The production values for these games are through the roof.

The puzzles are pretty fun, but I found most of them to be very easy. They definitely got harder in the second one, as I did get stumped on a few. I agree that the puzzles add more variety to the game. They are all well placed, too.

I thought God of War II was better than God of War I in every imaginable way, except for the storyline. But this is to be expected for a game of this nature. Take what made the first one so often and add more awesomeness to it. God of War II also, overall, felt really "big" compared to the first one. This game also confirmed that Kratos is the king of BA's since he *SPOILERS!* took out three ***s that are capable of changing his past, present, and future. *END SPOILERS!*

I never heard about that, but I believe it. Miyamoto also really liked Killzone 2 to my surprise. He appreciates quality work when he sees it.

I got the Essential Collection, which includes Metal Gear Solid 1, Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistance. I'm loving the second one so far. My impressions are in my blog. My one real gripe is that I haven't been doing much "playing." I thought Metal Gear Solid 1 had the perfect balance between watching and playing. This one has me running back and forth every now and then, but not really much else. To be honest, the gameplay I loved in the first one is gone, but the story definitely makes up for it. Luckily there's more story than gameplay. I hope that the third one blends the awesome gameplay from 1 and the awesome story from 2 into one awesome game. That'd be awesome.

It's GeoW or Gears, people are thinking a third person shooter is an action adventure game.

Back on topic, I like both games but GS seems to prefer XBOX more so they will give Gears a higher score.

i don't own a 360 so i won't get to play gears 2. gears one was so great when i played it at a friends house. but like i said before, both are gonna be f-ing awesome, and i'm tired of fanboys bashing each game.

I'm getting both, but just wondering how Gears can get a 9.3 here at GS. Or did I misread that :S? Anyways, I think, personally, Gears of War 2 will get the better score, but Resistance 2 has more evolution and gameplay changes than Gears of War 2 will. However Gears of War was much better than Resistance, in the general opinion, at least I assume so.

However, both will be excellent games(9 at least.)

I feel that R2 will score better. From what I have heard from people who have played GeOW2. It feels like a rehash. I didnt enjoy the first one very much. I bought into the hype and I think the reviewers did too just like GTA4.Killfox
