Resistance 3 Demo Included With Battle: Los Angeles Blu Ray

When the action packed sci-fi thriller Battle: Los Angeles is released for Blu-ray on June 14, anyone who purchases the movie will get access to an exclusive playable demo of Resistance 3, the latest installment from Insomniac Games' first-person shooter series.

The Resistance 3 demo is approximately a half-hour long and features the creepy boat level that our own Jake Gaskill previewed at Insomniac's Community Day. From his preview, "This particular sequence finds Joe Capelli and an unidentified companion, both of whom just recently escaped a massive showdown with the invading Chimera in the town of Haven, Oklahoma, which we played through in our previous hands-on preview, and managed to travel quite a distance in order to secure transport and start their journey up the Mississippi on their way to St. Louis."

Yeah and you won't be able to play it because PSN will still be down [spoiler] Trolololol. Sort of a sucky business move, "Hey buy our crap movie and get a demo for a game you want" [/spoiler]

This reminds me of District 9 BD having God of War 3 demo, and I wanted to get it so much. Now that God of War 3 is already in my collection, I still want that movie though...funsohng

district 9 and god of war 3 was a good combo....this tho...i rather get it on psn plus when it eventually DOES hit psn plus

and this is no surprise since R3 billboard is in the movie

Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy Battle:LA (some how :shock: ), but no way is it worth purchasing, even for the R3 demo.

The movie was okay but I don't think it warrants a purchase even if it includes a Resistance 3 demo.

I'll pass the movie was beyond horrible.

I thought the movie was pretty good but then again i'm less critical of movies than i am about games and half the people here probably read bad reviews without even watching the movie and suddenly they know the movie was terrible and bad and disgusting.JohnF111

Battle Los Angeles was hands down the worse game i played all year. R3 demo comes with the movie? I hope the movie isn't as bad as the game. Honestly, i just might buy B:LA on bluray just for the Resistance 3 demo.

resistance is nothing like "the conduit." The only thing they have in common is that they are both FPS games with sci fi elements. thats it.

The demo is likely to be available eventually on psn, either for free or ps+ or both. And seeing how quick the movie is getting released on disc clearly shows how bad it is. In conclusion, not buying.

This never happens with a movie I would actually buy, though I guess that's the point.

If it's like the GoW III demo on District 9, it'll be an installable demo, so you could borrow it from anyone who does buy it, but it won't work on a rental copy.
