Resistance 3 is one of the best shooters this gen

While i thought the first two games in the series were good AA games, imo Resistance 3 will go down as one of the most overlooked games of this gen. The campaign is the most fun i have had with a shooter since Bioshock. The pacing in the game is masterful imo. I just beat the game and want to start it again to level up my guns and get trophies. Then its on to a superhuman run in co op. The guns in this game are the best weapons ever put into a shooter imo. The gunplay is just so polished and satisfying. I have to say its my GOTY so far, I just hope more people buy this game because imo its just a masterful effort from Insomniac. The only negative for me is that the multiplayer is nothing special. Basically a mix of halo and cod. its not terrible but im not gonna be playing it for too long. But the campaign just makes up for it imo. One of the best single player experiences this gen.

Campaign is fantastic but the multiplayer is the absolute worst I have played out of any FPS in my entire life. Its awful. So until IG fix the MP I can only give it the title of best campaign this gen.

I am glad you are enjoying it so much, but I found it terribly dissapointing, myself. I bought it primarily for the 3D and Sharpshooter support. It has major problems with both features, and as a result, I am going to be trading it in after I force myself to beat it this weekend. I enjoy the weapons and leveling them up, but the characters, story, level design, controls, and art design all scream derivitive game design of yesteryear. And don't even get me started on the multiplayer... In short, it's abyssmal. I thought this would be like Killzone 3, which I adore, but sadly, it's no Killzone 3... not by a longshot. donalbane
