Resistance vs Halo 3

You probably opened this thinking that I was going to post screenshots or talk about gameplay, but i'm not.

In this battle, it's for which game had the worst ending. I just beat Resistance, and I was highly disappointed. I'm debating on whether or not its worse than Halo Kart (its what I call the last mission)

What do you think?

Resistance has all of no ending. It's pretty much just simple a cliffhanger. So while it's not that good it did get me pumped for Resistance 2. But I'd probably have to say Halo 3 because it is an ending.Ibacai

Halo 3 overall better games and resistance good game but bad ending.

Halo 3 has a brilliant ending and a more than satisfying last level/ concluding chapter to the trilogy.braydee1234

Maybe Resistance 3 will have a brilliant satisfying ending. You never know.

Still haven't played Resistance, but Halo 3 really wasn't impressive at all. It should have gotten a 7, i mean even with the MP online.. the maps really aren't that good.Adrian_Cloud

nah it deserved around an 8.9 to 9... but DEFINATELY not a 9.5.. i think it had a way better ending then resistance did haha .. resistance had a weird ending

I'm not too sure about such high score for such a flawed game.. i beat it faster on heroic than i did on normal.. approx 7 hours and 20 minutes. That may have been because i played it on co-op because the troop A.I is just so dam stupid, espeically when they get on veichles. Without co-op halo 3 definately would have been a massive flop, because thats the only way you can enjoy the campaign. I didn't even see the point of a SP option, especially when the game focuses so much on the team work between you and the arbiter( i'm guilty of killing him and taking his sword a couple times... BR+Sword= massive ownage). The equipment useless in SP, MP some functionality. I'm not saying Resistance is all that, but it really can't be worse than halo 3.
Bioshock was great, Stalker with mods was great.. halo 3 sub-par.

but since resistance ending wasn't very good, do you think i'd ruin the second one for myself if i youtube it?

The ending level in Halo 3 is awesome. I had so much fun doing it in Co Op.yellowandmushy

But your description of the ending of Resistance, a game I have not played leaving off on a cliffhanger that you think leads to the sequel, I say the same can be applied to Halo 3's ending where Mater Cheif and Cortana are stranded waiting to be rescued on that ring ship. To me it felt like they setup the story there for a sequel to continue right off from there.

As far as I'm concerned, the Halo franchise isn't even in the same league as Resistance. But in any event, this question is skewed. Resistance is still on its first game, which had a cliffhanger. When Halo was on its first game, it also had somewhat of a cliffhanger with MC saying, "This is just the beginning." If Resistance was on its third game, the comparison would be more appropriate.

But to answer your question: Halo 3's ending wasn't good. At all. You "finish the fight" after the third game and what do you have to show for it? MC going to sleep? If I were a Halo fan, I'd be pissed.

At first I thought the Halo ending was pretty good, then the thought crossed my mind... "They did it just in case if they want to make another Halo game". Halo 3 should have had an ending to a triliogy like promised. Instead we got a to be continued if we ever feel like making another Halo game. I'm not saying they should never not make another one, but if they do focus on something else in the Haloverse so we can get an actual ending. I got nothing for Fall of Man, never played it (once but for like 45 mins).
