I played Resistance online for the first time a few days ago and just couldnt switch it off it was so fun, I havent played a better online game so far this gen, I think even 360fans should be able to admit resistance online is damn good if they have played it.....

it is really good NO lag at all... i guess i agree it is the best online this gen
Obviously you have one reason to buy one. But I won't labor you with other reasons if you won't consider them. Resistance is competing with Counter Strike, Red Orchestra, and Battlefield. It's got some quality competition, but I'd say it definitely meets these titles, if it doesn't exceed them. It's definitely something we can hold over those who own Xbox 360's heads. It is a mark of pride for the PS3 owner to be able to point to at least one game that has a superior online experience. Warhawk will definitely further that. With the combination of those two games, we'll be set.
It is a very good and extremely underrated game.. but as for the best online game this gen... I don't know, there is a lot of competion with Gears of War or R6V...
Rainbow six vegas have not played that online? whats so good about it? and gears of wars online no just no to being better than resistance online (note to 360fans I said online, Gears of war campain was freakin awesome) Online Doesnt touch Resistance though
Gears of War is the best online game so far.. The lag kinda sucks but other than that, it's perfect.. Rainbow six a close 2nd then graw2.. and then RFOM takes 4th imo
Hmmm, I would have to say it's up in the air between R6V and Resistance for this gen. I'm not counting computers at the moment, I can if anyone would like.
Resistance wins hands down imo. More players and options and just plays lot better than any 360 game so far. There's something to be said for online community and standard headsets, but as for pure fun of gameplay Resistance beats everything so far this gen. Halo3 is the only one that stands to beat it in the immediate future.

Whats good about R6 Vegas? The gentleman asks it defined the team co-op squad shooter. It was the first squad shooter invented, and is probably the most refined I have been Playing since the original Rainbow six since 2000, and that was an awesome game. Man I can't play it on the XBOX becuse I can only truly enjoy it on the PC.

looks like it.. 90% of the people that play RFOM don't even use headsets.. it's just 5000 players runnings around endlessly doing their own thing.. very boring stuff..

No one was using a mic..
The PC is always superior when it comes to online multiplayer. Resistance is fun but not the best, I like to be able to communicate and I don't really care for most of the maps, but it is pretty lag-free. Oh yeah, for the guy who said Gears is Perfect, you must not play games online much. The multiplayer is amazingly simple and there is no strategy involved, I would say its a game for people who are new to online shooters. Rainbow is for true pros.
Resistance is not the best online game this gen but its a good one. I don't like how not many people communicate through headsets because sony doesn't have a standard headset. It just seems like people running around blindly and shooting at everything. Team Deathmatch feels like a free for all as there is hardly any communication and not to mention you ahve to hold down L3 just to talk during the game unless you are on a squad. How gay is that. I still love Gears online and only experienced lag twice but have played many games. COOP online is great too and thats something resistance is missing. i like resistance and its great there is no lag but i've seen players lag on the other team in resistance and it was hard to shoot them cause they were skipping all over the screen. So there is lag in the game just not alot.

Id have to agree with most of the people in saying that Vegas is the best so far, the character creation, incredible rank system, amazing levels, and really balanced gameplay plus tons of features. its just the most polished and best. resistance has potential but is rather raw, esp. with lack of people with headsets
live is way better then ps3's online, for the more friendly game with friends you have gears and for the more strategy you got rainbow six ya got the perfect combination.

I have to disagree with you. Now dont get me wrong yes im a PS3 fan all the way and I love my PS3, but for some reason i just wasnt feelin resistance. I dont know what it is, but just something about it. I mean its solid, but definitly not great

I totally agree. Lost Planet isn't nearly as polished combat-wise as Gears is, but for some reason, for all its flaws, it's still fun as hell. I'm really looking forward to the new Gears multiplayer type though (Annex); it sounds like it's gonna be amazing...

Yeah it is really fun, but just a tad bit too fast for me. Too run and gun and not enough group strategy. The lack of people using headsets kind of sucks too.
