According to the one guy he praised the hell out of the beta version and then the interviewer asked what was something he'd want fixed. He mentioned that the graphics weren't jawdropping. The interviewer went with that.
I don't see the ouch yet, the developers still have 6 months the game will play greath, and look greath. I think what people don't realise is that the Beta has been made by Bungie a few months ago and was just waiting to be launched, while they just continued working on the game in the graphics part and SP part. There is alot of stress on Halo 3 but I believe it will come out as an greath game.
This is ludicris, the first 2 games weren't the prettiest graphically, they looked great for the time, but other games looked better. Halo 3 will be no different. A 9/10 for graphics here, just like the others got.
as a huge halo fan, i'm concerned the overall opinions of the beta version have been from "meh" to "next-gen meh"...
i hope MS learns from this. DON'T PARADE A GAME UNTIL IT'S FINAL.. it's kinda like showing me my unwrapped, unfinished, christmas presents in June, imo.
i'll reserve my judgement for the finished product... but they had better not blow it...

I'm happy they did this. Like IGN said in the roundtable podcast, there's going to go 3 million people online immediately at launch. If bungie hasn't got the netcode perfectly right at that moment, xbl melts down. Â

Hardly opuch worthy. One guy said the graphics weren'tjaw dropping, but the game still has six months development to go. Like Forza 2, Halo 3 will be rated and judged on the whole of the finished product and it'll score great again, sell millions on day one and create a ton of hype for the 360. Seriously, the whole of the game isn't done yet. Are we really going to judge an entire game on 3 beta multiplayer demo's? I know this is system wars but has it become Stupid Wars too. And by the way that statement is true for all games and not just 360 ones. An unfinished product can be judged only for what is shown, but the whole thing, especially when it has six months left to go can't be judged. For me the Halo 3 graphics were a solid 8.5 and the gameplay looked good. Its a Day 1 purchase for me and probably millions more.

Come on, this isn't just about the beta. ALL of the material Bungie has shown about Halo 3 (except for that E3 CGI trailer, which really doesn't count, because it's, duh, cgi) has disappointed people in the forums. You lemmings should really, really should stop damage controlling with this "beta" garbage.
